r2 too hard watch the market with 2,4 but besides that 3,5,10 then 7,8 but stay out
r3 main chances 2,8,10
r4 chances 1,7,8,10,11,12 in another open event, for betfair i'd lay the 9 at anything under double figures
r5 main chances 1,2,3 for multis 6,7, another betfair lay is the 9 it didn't have much peace last week but it still dissapointed me in its effort
r6 4 a good thing but i hate the colors it wears, for multis 1,2,3,5,8,10
r7 chances 1,4,6,8,9
r8 5 looks the goods again, main dangers 1,4 & for multis 2,6,8
r9 big watch on 6,7 apart from that 5 on top from 1,2,3 but stay out

Its drawn the outside of the 2nd row over 1800m with Keturah Nelson on board and if its relatively short - represents NO value.

9 is value if > $5 - it's the only way i'm backing it with her on.. that won't be happening and I wouldn't be betting in the race given I think it's the best horse with the worst driver..

R3 - 7 e/w (went really good last week after early mistake and field not that strong)
R4 - 7 win (should be improved by 1st go at a stand and is racing really well) - like your comment though Centreman
R6 - 4 (lay it) - was disappointed with it's run last time + the 1 will lead and run along at 30seconds quarters - I think it will be way too short and the race will be set up for a Precipation or Carnival Rose
R8 - 5 win - should lead and be too quick for these
R9 - 1 e/w - D Harding will make it shorter, but it's going ok and race isn't strong...

Centreman - your comment on Nutha Lignum is spot on (i didn't want to say anything cause I didn't want MAL to start defending him!!) It was a poor tactical decision to kick away when the death and 3 wide line were gone..

Top run last week when had a hard run and still won

I know Simon reads these forums, but be honest for a minute...
I'm the first one to wrap him up when he drives well (i'm not knocking him for one poor drive either - far from it, just saying it was an error in judgement), but you have to admit when he has an error in judgement - junior drivers have them, that's why they are junior drivers...

So either you're telling me that Simon didn't know the 1 had galloped at the start??
IN which case - If he didn't then he should have a licence.
Or he did know it had galloped - then why did he kick away??
Gunbarrel Straight picked him up 15m before the post (he kicked 400m from home) so I don't care how often you say it / think it - he would not have got beat if he holds it up!!! the sprint lane is only 125 - 150m in length, the way Nutha Lignum was going compared to the death and 3wide horse - he should have held up until the lane and kick just before it came into play (making it harder for Gunbarrel Straight to outsprint him) rather then leaving himself a sitting shot for a good little sit-sprinter...

Precipation in the 3rd was a silly price...
Quaddie paid super @ $7,300 (12.5% of it).. had it for $1.50 if Badboy nitro won the first leg.. but still a really good day on the punt - hope you blokes got on at the odds...

at the 1.70 you couldn't have backed it i had it at 5/2 & thought it couldn't miss money & would probably win, if it was 5/2 yes i would have been on but when i heard on the radio that dammarrell wasn't there yet (3 minutes before the jump) & it was 1.60 on the tote, i thought well i wont be ringing up for this race, thankgod for the dalmation $54 winner magnificent the only problem was i didn't have enough on, & if grandiose won i get the first 4, bloody port colors they never ever do you/me a favour

For starters both Simon and I did not think BEFORE the race that Gunbarrell
Straight would be behind the leader
GS got 3rd on the pegs when the [1] GG galloped out
Both Simon and I after the race both agreed that to sprint in the straight was
not the best alternative
Gunbarrell Straight has a fantastic little sprint
By taking off just before the turn was the only alternative
Petria in the death was knackered
Nutha Lignum was slightly fired up and pulling, Simon could not hold it back, had no choice.

GS was always going to beat NL
Drive was acceptable

BAYMAN the 3rd umpire needs to intervene

he made a decision & now gets crucified, i'd rather a driver do that than half go grab hold & go again thus 'confusing' the horse, if he 'pinched' the race he would be a genius but now as he got run down he is a clown, really there wasn't much wrong with the drive, & if there was NO CHEAT LANE he would've won but seriously not much wrong with the drive & i'll add if he knew gunbarrel was on his back he did do the right thing as to make it chase him rather than get outpinged by him in the straight

I'm not having a go - and I didn't either Bayman..
I am saying I don't think he made the right decision at the time...

My view is I would rather a horse hold up when the only danger is on their back and maybe get run down on the lane by it - then kick away and get tired the last 100m and get run down... but each to their own...

I watched the replay and he kicked 400m from home.. GS pulled off his back 300m from home and beat him in the last 15m as NL got tired... If he kicks at the 150m (where the sprint lane starts) then he (in my opinion probably wins the race) - but I understand why he did it and just said in my opinion it was an error in judgement...

I personally think you guys are overestimating the ability of GS and how quick it sprints, I don't think it necessarily goes "Bang" but rather takes 50 - 100m to wind up before finishing off strong, at which case NL wins, but I don't own or train the horse - and Simmo does drive well, if I needed a junior on a horse of mine, id be more then happy to have simmo on my horse, I think that says enough in itself MAL....

I think i've had my run ins with one JS / STS / T / SP - whatever he wants to call himself..
In fact - I hear from a person who was at globe today that he was very complimentary to me when he found out that between this person and I we had the majority of the Supertab quaddie between us... NOT!!
But I really couldn't care less if he is on here - won't have any major impact on me.... mind you my brother (the one he calls fish) is still waiting to be taken out for more drinks, said he drank STS under the table at the gold coast.. but that's not to stay he had more alcohol in his stomach at the end of the night

In terms of his re-admission to the site - It's not a decision for you or me Mal - if you want him back on either you or him speak to the mods and site admin, you will get neither my support nor my objection on the matter...
