but back to serious stuff, went to bellvue dogs last night at manchester.
they race 4 nights a week tues night free entry( good i,m running low)
there was 13 races of 5 dog fields, this still didnt make getting a winner any easier 3 out of 13
they race for a paltry 80£ a win or $200 apporx in low grades a7 up to a2?
bunny on the outside and dogs are in prefered boxes with a box gap next to them which gave a cleaner race most times.
6 bookies with absolute crap prices
eg 1 5/4 should be 25/10 a least, then the rest of the field 3/1 including a dog that hasnt won in a year or placed in 3 months.
prices put up in pen 3 mins before start
tote min win or place £2 exacta and reverse(quin) then a trio thats it. low pay outs on wins but massive place overs ?
a few aussie sired dogs went around with a brett lee winning a 590yard by 5 l which i was on and piad £3.20 for a £1 called lee tanga.
a good crowd of about 400 with a good mix of age.
some good ideas for patrons to get them to the track , must have a chat the the big cheese!!!!
well i hope kulpara goes better on sat and the big boy is competative in the cup race
