The CEO is Mark Carey isnt it ? If correct is it effective immediately and is the position going to be filled or is it all tied in with the Bentley report ?

isn't gl still recovering from a triple bypass operation ? & as for mark carey i agree not a moment too soon & if you delve into the 'archives' on this site you'll see that we've mention he has no idea, it baffles me that anybody (not just in this case) can get a prominent well paid job because they got a degree at uni, when they know little about what they should do

i dont know who made the decision but most participants were happy with the 2 for 1 system & then they squashed it, why ? it still baffles me to this day when owners & trainers could end up with almost equilavent stakemoney to interstate, & that did not cost the club anymore, so why not get it back ?

Would that mean relinguishing his role as Head Steward or incorporating both roles into one.
If it was the latter, it would be a very tough gig.
Without airing an opinion on Mark Carey, I definately dont see too many positives for moving forward with an ageing geriatric ex- Victorian hack. :Hangman:

Dont we have a two for one aready by running restricted and country class races.

Anyway the blokes who make the most noise about the removing of the two for one never get winners anyway so it wont help them.

As for gerry taking the job G's right what good will that be, hes a 100 and the worst steward we have ever had

Yes you are right not much of a steward but would make a good CEO despite his age . Just ask the people that deal with him every day.
S.A needs a steward that will stand up to the people that are running the boat races that are happening , and you blokes that bet will have more luck.

Give bayman the job FFS.;....

Little Bayman could do a better job than Carey
