dammarrell packs up early

Postby bayman » Fri Aug 03, 2007 9:43 pm

well our mate bookie peter dammarrell according to jimmy jacques on the radio packed up early on monday so he could get to the dogs, now this is fair enough & i dont have a problem with that as you can not be in two places at the same time but he did the same thing on saturday night & that is not good enough because there were no 'midnight dogs on' last saturday or mal & mt would have done the preview, either be there or dont turn up
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

All you ever do bayman is complain about prices/percentage he bets so what do you care!!!!!!!
If he wants to go, his loss can't hold anymore on race.
Can't blame him for not wanting to bet on those $1200 races. They should be on a monday or friday Not Saturday.
Have your bet with the tote.

Centreman, absolutely SPOT ON.
Some of these blokes complain non-stop about Damarell and his markets and to be honest would it matter if he was operating or not. :D :D

Well Ill be DAMMed !
Bayman was just making a point
He pays $5 admission to get in
One of the reasons is he likes to go is to have a bet with the bookie on course.
Suggest BAYMAN asks Peter Dammerell why he left early at the trots
When the answer is given and is not satisfactory to BAYMAN then he should comment further.

Lets face it lads if the TAB packed up early can you imagine the cross examinations.

Peter Dammerell is an efficient hard nosed bookie, a survivor, and without
a shadow of doubt the best bookie operating at GDP these days.
Im sure he has a good reason for leaving early.

So to the previous posts this argument is 50/50 based on all the evidence

Stampy if you a no hoper bookie you wouldn't survive this days!!!!!!
And bookies in this state like in Vic, NSW, Qld pay turnover tax (i think its .99% in SA)
They pay it on turnover so whether they win or lose they still pay it.
How would blokes on here go if had to pay .99% on turnover at end of the week. Even if you loose.
Unlike the Bookies in NT. This is why they can give bonuses, giveaways, more services cos they have no rules nearly and No taxes.
