Dutchy - is betting on the draw allowed?

I think a rule should be brought in next year that bets on odds greater than $10 (say) aren't allowed, otherwise someone can get lucky and win the comp based solely on one bet, rather than from using any skill.

PS I'm not having a go at you, Pseudo - I would do the same if I was in your situation.

It's not pure luck Ecky. If successfully picking a draw was pure luck, I'd do just as well betting on the Eagles-South game. I reckon a draw is a better than 50-to-1 chance in this case. There's nothing to stop you also picking a draw on the same match to insulate yourself from my wager!

True, it isn't quite 100% luck.

But take the extreme example and say everyone bet on the draw every week - you would need to comp to run for a few hundred weeks (at least) before those people who used skill would be expected to be in front (with any degree of certainty) than those who simply picked a game at random to bet on.

Actually I just checked the rules thread, and it clearly stipulates "no draws".

BOO the official rules putting an end to my get-rich-quick scheme!

I reckon draws should be allowed next year. If any mug is dumb enough to pick a draw, then let the fool be parted from his money!
