With North celebrating the aniversary of it's '87 premiership this year, a year that as well as winning the flag, they also had the Magarey medalist, and the leading goal kicker, I wondered how many times this had been achieved.
It has only occured 10 times, the list is dominated by Port (6), with only North (2) and Norwood (2) adding to the list. Ironically, A Jarman was the Magarey medalist on 2 occasions (1 North, 1 Norwood)

There was no Magarey prior to 1898, so although Norwood had the leading goal kicker and won the flag in 1888 1891 & 1894, and Port in 1890 & 1897, they didn't make it onto the list.

Year: Premier :Magarey Medalist :Leading Goal Kickers (total)
1905 North Adelaide T.MacKenzie (North Adelaide) A.Daly (North Adelaide) 30
1910 Port Adelaide S.Hosking (Port Adelaide) F.Hansen (Port Adelaide) 46
1914 Port Adelaide J.Ashley (Port Adelaide) J.Dunn (Port Adelaide) 33
1925 Norwood A.Lill (Norwood) R.Bent (Norwood) 59
1956 Port Adelaide D.Boyd (Port Adelaide) R.Johns (Port Adelaide) 70
1980 Port Adelaide R.Ebert (Port Adelaide) T.Evans (Port Adelaide) 146
1987 North Adelaide A.Jarman (North Adelaide) J.Roberts (North Adelaide) 111
1990 Port Adelaide S.Hodges (Port Adelaide) S.Hodges (Port Adelaide) 153
1992 Port Adelaide N.Buckley (Port Adelaide) M.Tylor (Port Adelaide) 97
1997 Norwood A.Jarman (Norwood) J.West (Norwood) 80
