Apologies for asking this if it has already been answered but is 'The Way it was 86' available? It was one of the more interesting seasons in SANFL due to the rise of Blight's Woodville Warriors. The club went from being an absolute joke earlier in the decade to being the 'trendy' club to follow for a while there in the mid eighties as Woodville's charge through the 86 finals really captured the public's imagination as they beat first Norwood and then Port.

I remember turning up the the 86 Elimination final and thinking 'as if we are going to lose a final to Woodville' and they won by about nine goals.

regards,

REB

The SANFL produced a "The Way It Was" video for each year commencing from 1980, up until and including 1990. Except 1986, much to the chagrin of Woodville supporters!

It would be great if even a few minutes of Norwood vs Footscray ('83) and Norwood vs Geelong ('85) was in someone's possession.

Agree, footage from those games would be awesome. Without any doubt there are copies of those games (or at least whatever was shown of them on TV) on VHS and Beta tapes sitting around gathering dust in garden sheds...

Love him or hate him, some great highlights here:
10 minutes or so of highlights from the closing stages of Graham Cornes' career with Glenelg, 1977-1982.

Still can't stand him, but he sure as hell could play. Anyone who denies that is a fool.
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.

The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.
