Macca was just ahead of his time ... he got one in for Studley early on

For a very brief moment, Chris Prime was great to watch, and built like a brick outhouse. Growing up watching league footy in the late 1980's to late 1990's, Macca was bloody hard to beat. Jerry D'antochia also deserves a mention for sheer perserverance.

I was lucky enough to play with Macca, Scotty Direen, Troy Clements and Scotty Burns. Fair to say none of them where at their prime when i shared a guernsey with them but all champion players and champion blokes.

Of recent times id have to say Dean Turlich, Ben "Joffa" Jeffries, "Sex Panther" Cam Shenton and reserve grade specialist "The Cake boy" Andy Read are my favourites :D

That wasn't a great result from my perspective, but you're right, it was a fantastic era, and Norwood certainly had their fair share of great players during that period.

In order ...
Garry McIntosh
Michael Taylor
Michael Aish

Having said that in the short time he was at Norwood Phil Carmen is the best player I have seen play at any level, he belongs in a seperate category.

Greg Turbill could of been any thing but for his knee injuries

Macca ( his Hall of Fame speech was gold )

Phil Carmen - short but sweet career

Scott Borlace - again injury, possibly cut short a 300 game career

Roger Woodcock - ghosted out of the Western Grandstand on the big arc with the left to goal at the Parade end. Brilliant

Turbill was on my Duffle coat. I always admired the tough little blokes. Kept getting up no matter how hard or often he got hit. go Turbs!

Yes...
Damien never really recovered from that injury.
Kerley also got Denis Modra, and I think Brian Bowe, in other matches.
And he's the only person who ever caused Bill Wedding to lose his temper and retaliate.
