Perhaps that explains his less than stellar career at Richmond. I recall he has the ignominy of playing a match without picking up an entire stat.

Sorry didn't go back through all the posts in this thread.... but did the one about a West Torrens player taking a "lady of the night" as his date to the Margery Medal get a mention?
1961, 1971, 1976, 1978, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015.... And don't you forget it!

Not the only controversial merger in Torrens' history, then.

Well I won't name the player on here (that would cause a scruff!).... but it was in the mid 80's I guess. By memory it may have been the first time ladies were invited to the medal count. Back in those days it was televised. The lady in question caught the eye.... not quite in the Bec Judd way, but she looked ok for sure. Anyway the speculation soon thereafter was the player may have paid some $$$ for her company!

Only thought last night about Tony Brown and Ryan O'Connor winning the Magarey in 2001, this is the only time two players from one club have won the award, yes?

( Even on count back / posthumous )

i was at Norwood Oval in 1969 when Neil Kerley decked Damien Nygaard it happend on the side of the ground i was standing at, i was about 10 or 11 years old, from memory Kerls needed a police escort after the game, also the 1982 Prem Final when Grainger decided to through his weigh around, remember the day well because it rained from start to finish, was like watching a game of soccer. :D

Sounds like a modern Maurie Pope. (Killagrew recruit to Norwood.)

Can anyone relate exactly what happened in the Kerley-Nygaard incident?

Reading some stuff on FB today, and some Sturt supporters were recalling a Scott Salisbury hit that broke Jimmy Derrington's jaw in the late 80's. Anyone shed any light on the incident?

In the mid 80's there was an incident where a Salisbury or s Stringer punched a North supporter in the face. Was front page news.

Maybe my minds playing tricks on me, but I seem to recall the opposite, along the line that a North supporter hit (Alan?) Stringer post-match.

It was post match. Pretty sure it was the North bloke that took the hit though.
Can you remember which year? It could have been between as early as 1982 to about '86 IIRC.
