Glenelg Oval looks great packed out, probably about 12,000 - 13,000 there?
1983 was a funny season for Glenelg. I remember they lost their first 9 in a row, then they sacked their coach, Graham Campbell, but reinstated him after the players and coaching staff rallied around. They then won almost all their games for the rest of the season, and us teams already in the five were quite worried that they were going to make the finals and clean up, very powerful unit in the second half of the year.
As for that hit on Giles, unbelievable, didn't even concede a free.
