Now that the dust (or bulldust, if you're an Eagles fan) has settled on Sunday's result, do any of our history or stats boffins know where North's 47 point comeback ranks in terms of all-time SANFL finals comebacks?

I think Port came from 30-odds points back in the 1982 prelim, but of course were just pipped by the Bays, and I reckon North came back from 20-odd midway-ish in the last in the 1971 second semi final to win.

In terms of grand finals, of course there's Norwood's 29 point comeback in 1978, Sturt's similar comeback to just miss out in 1965, and I think I've read somewhere that Port were about 5 goals down in the second quarter in 1957 and turned it around to win.

North had a 5 goal lead on Glenelg in the 1985 Grand Final during the second quarter.

South were about 6 goals down (38 points from memory?) v Port in the 2006 Elimination Final.

Was there a GF, maybe in the 20's or 50's between Port and Norwood where a team was down 9 goals to 3 and ended up winning?

Also remember reading about a WA, think it was a semi, with East Freo in it in the late 50's, and one team was ten goals up at 3/4 time and got run over, but wind could have been a factor.

I seem to recall that North defeated the Eagles in both the QF and the PF in 2007 after the Eagles gave away leads of about five goals or so? I think a similar thing may have happened in the 1SF in 2013? Could be wrong.

Torrens were comfortably up on West in the 1969 1SF but West came back to draw.

Reckon there might've been a 5 goals margin in the 2007 prelim, not so sure about the qualifying. There was a deficit North made up in 2013, but from memory I don't recall it being as much as 5 goals.

What was the margin in that 1969 semi-final?

North also came home with a flurry in the 06 prelim, just falling short, though that one was wind-assisted.
