Vale David Wark Snr

The Club is saddened to advise the passing of Life Member David Wark Snr OAM on Monday 11/11/2019 aged 76.

From 1975 David spent 10 years as club Chairman/President and SANFL league director.

He was awarded Sturt Football Club Life Membership in 1981 and SANFL Life Membership in 1985.

In 2018 he was awarded an OAM in recognition of his many years as a volunteer and sports administrator.

The Club’s thoughts are with wife Margaret, daughters Melissa, Nicole & Simone, son David and other family.


Did plenty for his club and the league. People like him are the glue that hold our clubs together.

Never met Snr but Jnr is one of the nicest guys and probably the best administrator I've met. Thoughts are with the family.

I met him a couple of years ago through his charity work.
