...there will have been every team who has finished 2nd over the past 9 seasons:
Year Runner Up (Premier)
1999 Norwood (Eagles)
2000 Central (Eagles)
2001 Eagles (West)
2002 Glenelg (West)
2003 West (Sturt)
2004 Sturt (Central)
2005 South (North)
2006 Port (West)

It's a big if as there are only 2 weeks to go in the 17s.

If Port beat Norwood and North beat Glenelg this week, it's almost a monty I would have thought.
Disclaimer - I haven't looked at round 23, aside from noting Port will have the bye.

U17s Round 23 (rd22 for everyone else)
Central v Norwood
South v Eagles
West v North
Sturt v Glenelg

There you go then - North and Sturt win last 2 games each (likely) and Norwood lose to Port (50/50 at worst, Port have won 2 close games this season) and North will be second and Spelly can pump his fist or whatever else he feels like pumping.

It's not 2nd after the minor round, it's 2nd after the Major Round, smac.

Ah, fair enough. Still pretty plausible though.
