Adelaide Premier League (APL)

Postby The Bedge » Mon Aug 08, 2022 1:31 pm

Anyone know much about the proposed APL coming up this season? Will it have much impact on other cricket competitions?

Sounds like there is some serious money being invested into it - talking in the 100's of $k's for some franchises.

All i know is its played over 3 or 4 days, one local hero"" player for each franchise, ie a grade cricketer. All games played in Adelaide i believe. Basically they are copying the comp that has just been played in Queensland
It was meant to be in the pre season but they ran out of time so it will be later in the year. So to answer your question it will have no impact on any other comp

Senior's is played 5th and 6th January with final on the 8th.
Junior's start middle of December.
Roughly $400 to nominate for the draft

Is it the comp where Cosgrove, Horsborough and Corey Roberts are in a team together?

My mistake, it doesn't cost anything to nominate as such but once you submit the nomination it's about $400

Auction Happened last night and was a bit of a rabble.
Is there actually any $$ involved in this to the Tier players or International Players?

The initial 500 senior nominations might suggest there is a want for it

Should be good fun and will benefit those who were lucky enough to be drafted

The expectation is the standard will be high

Boof was on MMM this morning and said it will be on Kayo

I think it is more like Supercoach, there is a salary cap and players are allocated values. No real money of that amount is changing hands....
