And I coach the women and had the pleasure of having her play mate and what a game it was, 106*, 1/8, a direct hit run out and a full stretch diving catch at Gully.

She was bloody awesome.

Cheers mate, she was a bundle of nerves in the morning, she's a competitor and gives 100% in all facets of the game.

Kinda helps that her brother and her boyfriend have decent pace and they don't slow down for her in the nets.

Hopefully she can be a regular member of the team down the track, she enjoyed the day and felt part of the group straight away.

Chadd Sayers 267 not out playing B1 for Grange

Not sure why he wasn't playing in the A1's?

Best bowling for the season in the first innings was a 2 fa.
Perhaps the brother wanted him to go back and find some form with the ball? ;)

You'd assume he's ua next week so playing B's under the slash player rule.

I think he could only play for the first week and correct me if wrong, but in the A1-A3 you can't do a replacement player in the 2nd week of a game

Mawson Lakes skipper won the toss and dobbed Grange in. Didn't work out well.

Para Hills got a shock with Pudney playing on the weekend, looking at the wickets he bowls rockets. they got lucky to get to 163 with Cam and Tyson saving them late. also i would have put my house on NEVER seeing Dylan face 31 balls and get a duck

Didn't want to face Chadd's swingers! Got him smacking it to all parts instead....

Looking at the balls faced, the 3 wickets probably would have fallen before tea and then a long second session in the late afternoon!

Pudney has a fair bit of pace behind him and hits the deck hard. He definitely got quicker after he found his rhythm a few overs in, he fell over and hit the deck on several occasions, not sure if that is a common occurrence for him. It's fair to say I'm currently sporting a few war wounds that somehow missed the thigh pad

Few big results on the weekend helped and hindered some teams. big one for Para Hills this weekend again Grange. if they were to lose it Woody south might be favourites to make the 4 with their run home.

Agreed, when ATCA requested feedback on the by-laws we provided some ideas regarding slash players. It's difficult for some clubs who field a team in A1 and A3 like ours and several others, and we can't allow slash players in our top 2 grades. We put forward an idea that you can have a maximum of 2 slash players, however the slash players must have nominated your club as their primary club. This would then stop possibly slashing in a premier club player for 1 week when the rounds may not line up.

As a compromise we suggested that if ATCA didn't want slash players in A1 and A2, we suggested that if your club's B Grade is playing in an A Grade competition, they should be allowed a slash player on the same conditions as above.

Why not pick 12 and he can sub the next week bat or bowl as required.
It also opens the path for a talented youngster to get a feel at the level as you probably wouldn't take a b grader and rob them of a good player (a bowler for instance,) and you are batting on the second week.
Ringins from premier cricket not allowed though.
