Jamie Panelli

When I read through the scores in the Sunday Mail each week, one name always stands out, Jamie Panelli from Kensington. He always seems to take a lot of wickets for not many runs. Looking at the stats part of the SACA website, he has 329 wickets at 17.74 each. Is there any reason this guy hasn't played any first class cricket? Or even in the Second XI?

Deserved a chance. A problem could have been that John Palmer (the best 'keeper in the state) normally stands up to the stumps for him. This would leave the impression that Panelli bowls too slow. His stats don't lie though, and he has won a couple of premierships for the Browns...

What does he bowl exactly? In the paper it seems he has been opening the bowling a bit this year.

Right arm medium. Swings them both ways. Good off-cutter. Good slower ball. Has had enormous success with planned leg-side stumpings with Palmer behind the stumps...
