In reply CCCCA made 158 i think? good start by coss who got a nice start but was run out, middle order was dissapointing but baldo, tarca, gully and pete graham all batted well late in the innings there wasnt alot between the two sides just PDCA application was alot better than the churches.

but its a start and we will improve i can assure you all of that i learnt abit today capt the side for the first time and as i said as a unit we will get alot better.

Our final score masked how comprehensively we were beaten I'm afraid. :( A patch of 6-7 crap overs cost us dearly when we had the ball in hand and a lack of application by the top order effectively handed the match to PDCA on a silver platter. Exceptional efforts by Balding, Gully, Tarca and Graham with the bat in the lower order saved us from complete embarrassment. But many positives came out of the match in the end, most notably the fact that 7 new players represented the Association and get to take that back to their Clubs. Notable performances by Balding with bat & ball, Graham with bat & ball, Placucci & Domanski with the ball and Tarca can hold his head high after his first senior rep match with the gloves and the bat. Much work to do with the gloves, but his application and dedication was exemplary - despite the complete & utter drivel flowing from the gob of a former C&CCA player who had much to drink, far too much to say and no form to back it up.

Looking forward to seeing many faces out at Association training at NEK's training facilities, Manoora Ave, Greenacres @ 5pm on 4/1/10 and 11/1/10 in preparation for the match against ATCA on 17/1/10. 8)

Oh and gravedigger, I've got a bone to pick with you too champ (pardon the pun!)! I'd have thought you might have a bit more respect for someone who repeatedly pasted your left arm tripe all over the park match after match?? In future you should be careful who's listening when your jaws are flapping about loosely.

Hey Ecky, congratulations on your consistent and committed effort with the website. It's great to have a quick source of information for the association.

I was just wondering though, why there always seems to be comical errors in the scores printed in the paper every Sunday. What happens between us giving the Sunday Mail scores, and them printing them? For example, in today's paper, the reigning A-Grade champions are referred to as "Paravista Lutheral," the current leader for the A-Grade batting trophy has apparently changed his name to "Lockloechel," and one of the star bowlers of the competition is now known as "B.Sgarke." Is it just the Sunday Mail stuffing it up every week?

The only reason I ask is that I'm actually really crap at cricket, and my enjoyment in the club comes from keeping an immaculate scorebook, and writing the club newsletter!

Unfortunately your guess is as good as mine, I also wonder how they are able to make so many obvious errors!

my mail tells me while holland was away with work in melb paralowie nearly lost outright to magill who are bottom of the table and that if you could get a clerance at this stage he would. 3 players didnt rock up including barnes who was to open the bowling when paralowie were defending 148 after being 1/96 and solton who wouldve bowled first change i giuess some things will never change no matter how hard people try.

i'll take anyones money that this will be paralowies last season of cricket???????????

any takers???????????

Definetly didnt see Morialta beating Paralowie.

As for folding Carey that would be a shame. Your club has so much potential with a good clubhouse, oval, four teams. You are based in an area full of 15-35 year olds and if you just had four or five people involved in the organisation off field youd be laughing. Its true tho you need the right kind of players in your club. If you look at Para Vi$ta and North East they have obviously got the right kind of players and want to play for thier clubs, and their results and the way they play reflects it. Good luck for the rest of the year Carey, churches is a better competition with Paralowie in it, not to mention the home game for us Fitzroy Paralowiens.

Enfield A Grade chased down 153 in 24 overs yesterday to take the outright points over AC Blues. With another Stella performance with the bat by Trav 'OX' Uern with the bat. Ox and Onion Laird combined to bring Ennies home for a great victory.

You have only played 3 or 4 games this year yourself mate, doesnt help things. But on yesterdays efforts, we started with 10 players 2 of which were subbies, 1 of which also left at drinks. That left 9. Morialta finally declared, then another 2 left. That left 7, 1 of which was a subbie. Then had to bat again with 6 players. A couple of cameos by myself (36) and S Clarkson (31 - with 2 massive (went miles) 6s in 2 balls with morris bowling) helped the score to 120 odd i think. Morialta need 29 in 3 overs for the outright which they got with ease. We managed to get another 2 subbies, bringing the total to 8 on the field.

But we were our own worst enemies. A lot the team were in town friday night for work shows so have no compassion for us.

I think our current A Grade this year will look to play only 1 day games next year.

not having a go at you box machine just had enough of the same sh!t week in week out mate and yes i'v only played 4 games with work and being away in thailand whilst im sure this doesnt help it that has nothing to do with people not rocking and so on would you agree?

what pisses me off the most is at full strength i believe were one of the best teams going around. i just think unless there are some major changes after xmas i dont believe we'll see the year out which would be a huge shame for all concerned.
