I believe alot of the Risdon and Props supporters and players wouldve been watching both those A grade sides play at Memorial Oval at the same time.

What a day last sat, biggest crowd I have seen at a game with local sides for 10 years! Superb organisation from SP cricket club and I can think of no better way to show off Pirie Cricket, helping others with money raised mounting into the many thousands no doubt. Who won, who cares! Well done to all those that got there and no stress for those that couldn’t, don’t tarnish the day with sledges on others, everyone has commitments and maybe the day could be even bigger next time.
The weekend was actually meant to be this week but SP has the bye but I am sure that any other clubs (apart from Bats who did it on the day :ymapplause: ) want to pass the hat around this sat for no matter how big or small a donation, it would be no doubt gladly passed on by SP.
Well done.

I thought the turnout was good considering its pretty cricket. I was only there for a short time but there were lots of people who I haven't seen at the cricket before. As said I am sure Risdons and Props would have attended if they weren't playing. I hope they raised a bucketload of money.

Not sure what power to umpires is saying :-??

He is going quite well and is part of a very young Solomontown team that seems to have made some progress during the course of the season.

Lets hope a few clubs put their hands in their pockets and make some donations for the McGrath Foundation this saturday, which is the day on which most clubs are supporting the Foundation.

I know "Risdons" are making donations this weekend to back up the great work done by Southport on Saturday.

Just in relation to your comment concerning a lack of support by other Clubs, the official Pink Stumps day was actually Saturday and "Risdons" also got behind the cause and took donations whilst playing on the lush outfields of Port Oval. $150 was raised by "Risdons" and provided to Southport CC to pass onto the McGrath Foundation.

Looks like some changes to the PPCA B Grade program may be needed, with vandals causing very siginifcant damage to the Complex 1 pitch.

Some great games coming up this weekend in the IPL:

Wandies and Props facing each other for the last spot in the 4.
Warnertown and Southport battling for the double chance
Risdon and Port Germein match off in the 'Will Fluff get to 1000 runs??' game
And Sollies and Strykers get an opportunity to finish off the year with a win.

How many does Fluff need to get the magic number? He's become something of a legend out at teh land of the long jetty.
