Better get in quick PP! ;) Only 1 day until the squad gets named. And yes, the squad has been chosen. In my humble opinion, it's a solid looking unit. 8)

Will there be enough Fitzroy representation for powerport's liking and only one Rose park rep after all the rest broke down like the old nags they are?

Spry and McLeod the token under-30's?? :D

Would be nice to have the choice of every single player in the comp to throw up for selection. I'd say every single other state & association would be saying the same thing. ;) Such is the difficulty we face each Carny, attempting to get players to commit to a week away from home during the festive season. It's a tough gig!

I wish all those lucky enough to be selected in the Association team the best of luck.
People need to know it is a privilege and not a right to be selected in the squad. Do us all proud and give it your best, except you Dutchy lol

Goat do i get a boarding pass now?

Do you want the good news or the bad news mate?

The good news is yes, you're on the plane as a ' team consultant'. ;)

The bad news is you're rooming with Dutchy.

Catch 22, ain't it?? ;)

Well said too re. selection in the side. It is indeed a privelege to pull on the coveted red cap of South Australia and go into battle for your state and on behalf of your Association. Everyone who has had the honour can testify to that and I know they'll all have long-enduring memories of the week of competition. In my experience as a past player, playing with the best of the best from other teams was a highlight. 8)

I'm sure the vast majority (ie; posters without an anonymous username.. ) will be happy with the squad.

U idiot! That might be the truth but how would u know anyway? From ball 1 you pull out your 1972 'Lazy Boy' complete in vinyl and proceed to sleep for the rest of the arvo, until someone taps you on the shoulder to wake you up for your time to bat!

There should be no real surprises in the following squad of 13 ;

M.Weinert (Capt-Coach)
A.MacDonald (v/c)
A.Balding
J.Smith
M.Sandford
J.Borgas
I.Henderson
S.Holland
A.Wehrman
P.Wright
A.Gully
B.Tarca
M.Spry

Pretty balanced side on paper. What a comeback by ME!!! 8) Worked hard, I deserve it. We'll do things as a team and do it my way. Think I'll just bat and suck a few coldies while the team slogs it out in the field. Plus, the selection committee have heard the critiquing feedback about Holland and we agree. Barely made the side but somebody's gotta pull some fluff, there 4x over 40's in the side who are out of touch with the whole clubbing/pickup-some-filthy-skank scene and need some serious re-training.

We were gonna slot Isaiah Borgas into the side, coz stuff knows there's thousands of bloody Borgas's everywhere in South Australia right now, and who would know one Borgas from the other in the other states, but Northern Districts stepped in and vetoed the selection. Spoil sports...

Wish me & the team luck lads!! 8)
