Played up there about 4 seasons ago - play had to be held up around 2:30 as 4 cows came wandering onto the oval from an Easterly direction at the Northern End (no joke - it actually happenend).


Actually Saddleworth is the only oval where I have seen a punch up on the field. Some of the Saddleworth guys from the late 80's should remember it, I think the square leg umpire got ko'd. The guy that hit him also had "prior's" with the RSMU Hawks. Had a very short fuse & it got lit many a time!!

Not sure about his cricket ability but was always amazed at his drinking ability and then being able to stand up and play the next day!
