My tip would be a well established organized club where he can just turn up and play.

Like Smithfield? ;)

My money is on staying in churches regardless, i think he likes the idea of the carnivals far too much, he seems to have great appreciation and value on representative games and sides.. something that PDCA appears to lack...

Para Vi$$$ta could be a major player for his services but at the same time they have a wealth of depth and i have a feeling that as long as he is given a sound enviroment and a full side each week he would crave the challenge of helping and building up a less "established" club..

Wherever he goes, if he does, I just hope that he can rock up to trainings or matches and enjoy himself. We've had some great duels over the years and plenty of laughs, he has been a great ambassador for the Paralowie CC.

Comes a time when trying to organise a bunch of blokes who just want a giggle and drink on saturdays gets too much. Constantly since in churches the Paralowie side have fielded under strength sides and very frequently not even a full side! It appears there really is a lack of drive from the club to be a serious cricket side, rather footy blokes staying active in the summer.. of course there are still a handfull who are serious.

Having said that, every time a paralowie side has taken the field they have been very competitive but i put them in the same boat at Eastern Pk and Sailsbury Nrth.. footy club not real interested in cricket...

Dutchy has done a lot for the team over the seasons but i think he is finding it to hard to do each week with being away with work. Like he said i cant really c cricket going on after this season

heard rumor Paul Wright asked out to training Monday night, must say he has definately proven himself worthy over the past 2 seasons, over 300 runs last season at 5, over 150 this yr so far in a side struggling to make 100! not to mention 39 wickets last season and 23 this yr, id say he would go close to the best performing all-rounder in the competition so at the moment... add onto that assoc fielding trophy last season, several rep games and has never under performed i think this is a great move!!

I know they are a good team when they put a full side on the park after playing them over the last 2 seasons

exactly half my point!! when have they fielded a full side?? even with half a side they are good but how can u attract/retain players if your club is only putting 7 blokes out there!?!

I got a phone call earlier in the season from a paralowie player when carey was away informing me they forfieted and said it was coz it was too hot and they would rather get drunk and swim in clarko's pool!!?!

then asked me if it counts as an outright loss or a draw! WTF!!!

Dutchy coulndt play the first week of the final which made it hard for us. we made a mistake with the book and he couldnt play the second week. The other blokes who didnt turn up i cant remember y.
Most of the team is football players who only play to keep fit and have some fun. Dutchy is to passionate for that. I think he needs to go play turf!
