mate it was a joke really, it was only myself, baldo and Paul from central mission, i know it was early in the year etc but i would have thought blokes would have been a bit more committed, 3 guys to a training was pretty poor.

hopefully a few more guys show up to the next one at our ground this coming monday.

Pretty bloody disappointing! considering the efforts that ppl like Goat Herder put into the sides and all you get is 3 blokes and 2 are from the host club is very average! I think no one has a right in this assoc to bag or criticise the performances of the rep sides until they are prepared to put their own hands up, commit and lead the way..

Yeah, feel for the guys organising the assoc side. But Herder dont get too down about it, it was only just a coupla days after new years. There are probs about 20 guys who would be good enough to represent the assoc so hopefully enuff rock up to training next week to put a good side together.

im sure the herder wont be happy about that... lets just hope it was because everyone was away on holidays...

on another note, enjoy your week off boys. found out last night that the heat policy for LOA for 41 degrees is we only play 35 overs instead of 40

Such as....??? :? Keen for you to elaborate spintwin, as AFAIC, there are no automatic selections.

Poor scheduling on my part - number of blokes most likely still on holidays as at 4/1. We'll expect better numbers next Monday night, plus there were a few apologies as well.

No Automatic selections is a bit rich Goat Herder. But what i was saying is that people think they will get a game. Nothing Against the Coach but this is what i believe. If it was a carnival year it would of been a different turn out i am sure. If you are ever after a net bowler i would be glad to help out. Look forward to catching up soon mate.

Fair points mate. ;) The way I see it, the 2 players annointed with leadership roles have been appointed for the entire campaign provided they do the right things as far as the team as a whole is concerned. Apart from that, nobody is an automatic selection. Okay, maybe Baldo.. Sure, the coaching group has players on it's wishlist, but not all of them are going to be avalable or interested. It is ultimately 100% true, however, that the attendances at CUSA/SAMCA training if it was a carnival year would be drastically higher than a mere 3. ;) And I can guarantee you that anybody not showing an interest, putting in nil effort and thinking they will just get a game will be pretty disappointed. 8)

As for being a net bowler, you're far more than just that ya big goob, and always welcome to assoc training mate. Same goes for anyone in C&CCA who is looking to improve their cricket or throw their hat into the ring for selection. 8)

wow, 10 wicketless seasons in a row.... If you are really short herder, ill come out and lend a hand to the part timers like pistol. And spin twin, way to sook mate. The team already has 2 left arm seamers. I assume thats what you bowl, ive seen you muck around bowling right arm, not bad for your wrong side....honestly.
