All games cancelled. Yeah one of our 1s lost everything and so did one of our 3s

Your players kept the most important thing, though, mate. And I'm really glad to hear it.

Should the whole league have not played on the weekend out of respect and to make it fair for all teams???

Why?
We lose enough games due to heat and rain, why when its perfect conditions would we cancel the whole round. Nobody was forced to play, those that raised concerns were allowed to pull out without penalties and were compensated as fairly as possible.
The Angaston, Kapunda, Freeling, Gilbert Valley and Nuri clubs are to be commended for the common sense approach they took to finding solutions for the tricky situation that arose with games being half way through.

What compensation did they get??

All 4 sides were given 2 bonus points

I'd better face up. Apologies about the post about the Nuri games, I misread the message I had received.
My fault, not that of the sender.
Apologies.

*annoyed*

I honestly believe the association got this right in every way.
This being a very delicate situation I thought they showed tremendous common sense.
The issue raised about the amount of games we do lose to weather is why it was a smart and fair move to have games played over the weekend.

Is the weather policy the same as last year ? I thought I heard someone say that it had changed.

....and current forecast is for 39 at Eliz and 37 at Nuri. Fair to say we will definitely be playing this week...

Toot toot the train is in motion.
The south boys are playing to their ability.
Top 4 not as complete as day's and the like predict.
Careful of the quiet achievers.

Clearly the next 3 games are season defining in terms of where we finish.
the way we apparently went about Saturday I have faith that our best is good enough.
Angaston clearly the team to beat. Even lot competing for final 3 spots.
South the quiet achievers days, Start of the year you wouldn't have been expecting us to be in the 4 at this stage no doubt you will say otherwise.
Plenty of good signs at the den and we would have one of the youngest teams in the competition and currently have sh@ t loads of numbers.

Fairly certain I have heard Days mention a Ango v South GF before a ball was bowled this year.
Reckon most people would of had them around the mark

Wouldnt get too carried away Slowey, you still have to play Freeling and Angaston twice and you have already had your 2 against that almighty Lyndoch side.
For the record Oct 26 was the 1st time I put it in print that you would be in the grand Final but as Jim said I have been saying all pre season you were certainties for the 4. But frankly im a little underwhelmed by your performances so far and think I may have rated you too high. Very lucky to beat a very ordinary Nuri team. 8/94 vs them, 6/26 vs Lyndoch and a loss to GV after batting all day for 118. Easily the 3 worst teams in the comp, the good teams smash these teams.
