Interesting in Grade 3

is the G Sutton for ATCO Gary Sutton
and the B Moore for Craigmore Benny Moore

if so couple of handy players who at there best would have to be in there sides best 11 people would think.

I would say that is Benny. My understanding is he is out there to play with a couple of mates and won't be seeing any first 11 action. Football is Ben's 1st choice and would say he probably won't play after xmas.

Fair enough, was very handy 5 or so years ago, at his best was very fast and had great bounce.

Smithfield lost McMillan to Freeling and picked up Bickle from Playford. It looks like Newman is going to commit to a full season after this game and we're still hoping to pick up another all-rounder who hasn't committed to anywhere yet this season despite having 3 clubs wanting his services.

Sorry LM but won't be committing anywhere this season... docs orders :))

Well that free's up some cash then ;)

didn't you get the fax? all i asked for was a deck chair and a six pack :-bd

on the other hand, after oz hit a four to pass the score a comment from the crowd was " there is the premiership right there"
so with brahma and west playing in the grand final hardly makes it worth playing anymore??

rosies love going into the finals as the massive under dog...

GO YOU ROSIES...

it was first game of the season... you shouldnt be able to get more hungry, u shud be starving!!! if u need a loss so early in the season to get u going there is somethin wrong. people say u need a loss just before finals to keep u on ur toes... but first game?

like i said you dont win finals in october, yes it would be nice to win the first couple but the reality is we didnt so a loss will make us come out in round 2 and perform better than we did in round 1... pretty easy really!!

Have to agree, if Rosies make the finals and face SW, round 1 is nothing more than a distant memory and has no affect on the outcome of a final.

The guys that miss out need to earn their spot where as in the past in was a given, good for all in my opinion and only makes for healthy competition for spots and a strong club.

Browny some runs are due then?

I'm not a batter ;)

I beg to differ. Scoreboard says otherwise.

Oz, very good 180 there. Classic deflection from what we all know, that SW will be very hard to beat, again.

I think the odds should be something like:
SW $1.60
R&C $2.10
OTH $4
BL $6
Virginia $10
Angle Vale $12
Smithfield $15
PG $16

You are right, Reeves will be only available part time. Whether he adapts to Hard wicket will the the key, but same with the other guys who came from ATCA.

Yeah you are right. Our guys can only score 218 against OTH seconds. Swap them with Angle Vale.

Gepps Cross will be a rebuilding club this year, They have done well from the position the club was left in last year to actually even have a couple of sides. This year the sides will be lucky to stay out of relegation zones in both grades.. but the direction that the club is going is way better than where it was this time last year, even with the departure of most of their players.
