unless your an insterstate player or gun recruit you wouldnt get paid in cricket.
I know that turf teams try to get district cricketers across with money.
no reason why hard wicket cricketers couldnt be paid. Unlike footy, all performance based though.
So if ya recuit isnt making runs or taking wickets, then he isnt costing the club a thing.

Thats because all you want is money iron fist. You won't play otherwise! :)

Brad has indicated to us that he wants to come and play with us yes that is true.

We have made a clearance request for him and await a response from NHCC.

Cmon Bloods, you know full well the seed was planted after last years Association game when Brad made 80 and went back with WYC boys and a few others. He just turned 18 and very impressionable. Any 18 would be flattered if his were pumped up by one of the best players in the comp. No hard feeling towards Brad or WYC just a bit dissapointed that a possible future captain of our club who we put alot into since he started in the juniors as 13 year old has gone (what I think) side ways by playing for another team in our comp. Our club promotes kids that have ability to go to Port Adelaide and I think Brad is one of them.
I wish Brad a great season for WYC.

Who was pumping him up that weekend Bazza? I do agree with where you are coming from with sideways to a certain extent!
Is it true NH are considering moving down to section 2 with the loss of a fair few players now such as quirks, Christie and potts??

And we are extremely happy to welcome Brad to our club who hopefully can forge a good young openin partnership with me for 10 years for the club!! With the loss of pressy and Kingy, picking up a quality bat is a great sign for our club!! Having our batting now as myself, brad, Luders, Luke Eckert, Robbie, benny mc and bloods himself poses a bloody good threat to sides IMO. Hopefully we can become the best battin side in the comp this year if we work hard at our games

You might wish to speak to Brad about that. He is heading to Port Adelaide DCC for the 2011/12 season. He's only playing 1 more season of hard wicket, then giving SACA a shot.

Yeah i know, but that may change we never know! If he goes then thats good for him and his development, and our club if he were to come back afterwards and if he doesnt well then we will reap the rewards!

Well at least Keswick uses its own funds to recruit players and not indirectly the associations.

actually if it was the jaegers that got Christie across, it was Matthew Kings funds and NH received a transfer fee from it ;)

being there on that fateful day when, yes, jaegers were bought for brad christie, not 1 single cent of the jaegers was paid for by the association. so i guess brad can consider this payment for this season lol...only wish it wasnt me that paid him....and i spose then we could say that we tried to recruit JC as well....lucky that didnt go as well as our well layed plan to steal brad from the NHCC...absolute genius
