Hungover from a big day at the test on Friday...although the Nuri boys wouldn't have been any better

Was a decent display of bowling considering the friday and friday night he'd had.. was happy to witness the bowling first hand. just hit a length and took wickets at regular intervals.. reason for him not bowling 2nd dig is due to he believes the GV team has a lot of youth and talent at the minute and he is keen to keep these younger lads as keen and interested as possible.. hence giving them all a bowl etc. he considered the damage to have been done in the 1st dig..

Another solid day by angaston, 1/40 over night chasing 170.
Couldve been better sandy were 0 for 31 and then 7 for 38... But big hands come out and really fought hard with some good help from gummy and Davis to get there score to a competitive total.

Brett is one of my all time favourite players and only second to Fuller, is a real competitor and heart the size of Ayres Rock.

My Herald was stolen yesterday. I think one of my neighbours must have been heading out past Roseworthy Roadhouse and was looking to get it signed...

Apparently police have needed to close off all roads leading into Roseworthy. Its like driving down main street in Hahndorf, cars everywhere just to get a glimpse of this local champion.
Apparently there will be a Ticket Parade through Roseworthy tomorrow at midday and a presentation from the Mayor of Roseworthy to hand over the Key to the town.

Haha I really do like coming on to this forum, always some good material to have a chuckle at.
again im just a outsider looking in but I always keep a close eye on whats going on...
Are the Burgess who took 8 wickets this week and the burgess who hit 130 odd last week brothers?
If so could imagine a few tough games of back yard cricket over the years. This leagues been blessed with siblings over the years, johnsons, moseys,... great stuff.

Was an amazing phenomenon last week,
Brett Burgess knew he was in for a big day 3 days before the event and amazingly his head began to swell,
As if in anticipation of impending pride.
The universe works in strange ways....

Called in at Angaston on the way home from work and was very surprised to see Sandy batting again, no fairytale end to the game for Burgess as Ango were skittled for 130 odd.
Was Sandy 7/40 last week?, huge comeback if so.

Work? Since when do u stand under a street light in the daytime?
Just a Blip for Ango...is like Bangladesh beating England, enjoy the day coz the reality is both teams are headed in different directions. Just lucky Handsy turned back the clock last week.

Ladder

GC 85.97
Kap 64.86
Ang 55.18
SC 52.70
LP 52.18
Fre 51.73
GV 31.03
Nur 27.53

GC 38 wickets lost and 55 taken
Nuri 59 WL and 40 WT shows exactly where these two sides are at.
The rest are very even in this regard

Amazing foresight from Nuri to have the relegation rule changed to only one down this year
Lock in Jan 5 at Saddleworth for the relegation showdown. All will not be lost for GV if they lose that match as they can beat anyone, but i think its season over if Nuri cant get up in that one.
GV have 2 remaining matches against LP Nuri have 2 against Ang, so that should put GV into safe territory.

Nuri and Tanunda can continue their rivalry in the A1 ressies next year.
Any other thoughts on the season so far?

Good little summary there Days, think you are probably right on the money, the only question is whether the Gawler Tigers can go through undefeated, the Barossa variety look like going down.
Freeling hit the ground running but seem to have hit an ordinary patch, jury is still out on them.
Reckon the top 3 will stay as is with Sandy Creek and LP to fight it out for 4th.
As humorous as it will be to see Nuri playing Tanunda in the Ressies next year the loss of another turf deck in the 1's isnt ideal. Will potentially only have 3 turf decks out of 8 in the 1's whilst the Ressies players will be playing every second game on turf with 3 of the 6 clubs having turf.

Freeling have a good one day side resulting in their great start to the season but struggle in the 2 dayers. Nothing wrong with that though as it gives you a ticket to stay in the A1's. LP have also done ok at the One dayers.
I get the feeling some teams are not real fussed about the one dayers but at the end of the day there is as many points available in one day games as 2 dayers. Nuri and Sandy are probably the 2 worst performing one day sides over the last one and half seasons and therefore both have struggled with avoiding relegation.

I can see Nuri putting forward another proposal if they get back up to A1's and thats to play all 2 day games, either that or no bowling restrictions in 1 dayers ;). I hope im not jumping the gun with predicting Nuri to go down but geez it does look promising
Would love to see it happen, they have more imports than the English cricket team
