Churches need to lift their game IMO.

Don't worry about U/21 Pidge, try out for the seniors and see how you go.

I think you are on the money for once pidge, the association desperately needs some new faces and ideas added into the fold.

Nothing will ever change in this Assosiation while the old fuddy duddys are running it. We should be trying to promote the youth but once again they have let us down.

Maybe you should jump on board Spintwin???? Kick a few heads, get things rolling. I hear from a Vista mate of mine that you have had your hand put up for you.

To be fair, if no one puts up their hand to go on the executive committee what choice have they got?
They put out a questionnaire to all clubs, and one of the outcomes was more one day games, so they do listen. Maybe except Sat/Sun finals.

The problem people forget is the assoc fought hard for a long while with the u/21's concept and continually found themselves beating their head against walls, fielding sub-standard sides that simply served to crush confidence and disgrace the assoc.

No player was willing to put their hand up, some issue with the senior side. The fact Pidge is keen is a wonderful attribute, just need more people with the same passion.

Easy to sit back and criticise the efforts of the commitee, harder to step up and make a difference. Tough job.

Its not because the church issue. The vote has gone out several times over the past couple seasons and continually majority clubs come back against the idea.

Personally i have played in Sat/Sun games and they are very enjoyable.

See people continue to look at the assoc on these things, but you really should look at the clubs..

Last vote I heard was two years ago, and the clubs voted in favour (Only just) but the executive still decided Sat/Sat.

Hmm ok. I thought it was a tie but your probably right.

What i have always found quite ordinary is votes are given to each side instead of clubs as a whole so someone like Para Vista or Enfield have 3 or 4 votes and someone like AC Blues get 1..

Pretty ordinary setup

Personally i cannot understand why they do not play sat/sun finals. I remember in the old Independent Central days we even played sat/sun games during the minor round on several occasions during the season.

When i played in the SCA it was the same, 2 minor round Sat/Sun games and finals Sat/Sun. I think it just tidys the seasons up bit more, also gives chance to avoid heat wave and NR like last seasons GF (which im sure Fitzroy are still rueing)

I agree why would you give a club 3 votes. It should be one per club this way we know what the clubs want. :?
