Good to see annebriated Phantom back for 2009/10... Not quite as offensive as naked & unhinged Phantom...

Also good to see teams blowing the cobwebs out in readiness for the season coming. 'Vi$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ta's kick off their 2009/10 campaign this week with the first training session of the pre-season. Late start due to having to delay our post-season trip (it sometimes sucks making the GF..  ) and post-season op's for those who carried niggles during the year.. ;)

It'll be interesting to see the line-ups, and whether verbally proposed changes materialize themselves into reality.. But the big-ticket item in the pre-season is who The Phantom will choose as his new home, what grade he'll appear in, and, if indeed he even plays at all.. ;) My sources tell me that several "off-field incidents" may have impacted upon interest from his potential suitors, and are questioning whether they will be able to keep a handle on his alcohol-induced antics, let alone keep him clothed around their wives and girlfriends. There is an element amongst my sources that believe Phant' will rise above the adversities and throw his hat into the ring for an A Grade spot in the side bearing the postcode 5108, where they might be able to finally make a man of him... Watch this space.

There are still a number of things to be sorted out in regards to the competition structure, look for an announcement to be made around September 14th about who is in what division.

Brilliant batting display last night from the AutomaticWicky.

First ball Pidge to Auto. Outside off. Snick. Caught behind.

So that pretty much summed up Auto's batting display :D

to be fair i played about eight different shots to that ball in my mind and when it eventually got to me i decided to invent a cut shot, as you do when its the first ball youve faced in six months, and maybe...just maybe fourth slip may have got it

That is th finest 4th slip i would have ever seen. Keeper's ball that one was.

Its your own fault for not attending the previous training(s).

Even i've batted a couple of times

Not like i had a choice in the matter though.

I'll give you credit. BB would have been happy with that bouncer if he bowled it. Probably needed 15ks more on it to get even up to my slow mediums ;)
