I believe Shannon Aistrope won last years footy tipping in a closely fought contest.

For a sandwich artist he seems pretty switched on.

Seems the footy tipping took it out of the old bloke because he hardly managed to get on the cricket field this year.

He is cricket director isnt he? regardless of where they come from etc they are just as much HIS responsibility!

To be honest something probably should have been done earlier in the season before this circus really got into full swing and yes carey is just as much to blame IMO as cricket director.

PG there is some credit to what you are saying but in terms of controling these guys its hard to control the drinking and behaviour of players when you are not there! i ran the cricket at paralowie yes there was a title of cricket director but i didnt know that also ment i was a baby sitter!

i will also take no responsibility for players playing under mothers maiden names or what ever the whole name changing thing was about and i must say the club its self also can take no blame for this either as it was not known by the club at all we hardly knew anyone from elizabeth east at all they trained on theyre own even at the start of the season when we were training they never drank at the club at all either

Mate im not caning dutchy at all, im just sick of everyone going oh poor dutchy this poor dutchy that, poor paralowie eliz east have ruined their club etc. At the end of the day the fact that the Paralowie club has allowed this mob to basically run rife with what ever they want is ridiculous and even worse is the fact they didnt even know half the stuff going on!!

I mean they dont even train on the same night as the rest of the club!

All im saying is that being cricket director i would have thought he would have his finger more on the pulse, and im not blaming dutchy as an individual, the whole club is to blame, and thats includes him IMO.

As for me shafting them earlier in the season well proved to be the right move for me didnt it

I wouldn’t feel sorry for dutchy , a good friend of mine told me that he is now the highest paid sandwich artist in the country. Hence he will not be playing at Paralowie it will be very interesting to see where he ends up.

would you like extra mayo on that love? i'll just be a second lol

Dutchy as Cricket Director = tried hard at the start of the year organising the 3/4 teams and with recruitment and all that.

Dutchy as Captain of A Grade = in my eyes prob his worst year ever at the Roos. Didnt play many games due to work (? lol). This caused him to be hardly seen throughout the year and no doubt made being Director a whole lot harder. But in saying that, he put his hand up for the role at the start of season so most've the blame should fall on his shoulders. Bit harsh i know, but with not having your captain and director around the place affects the whole club. Not knowing if was/wasnt playing, having enough players,if we had proper equipment and the like, is very demorallising for any team.

I played every single game this year in the A's, I took out matting at the start of the game and rounded up the cones at the end of the day. Us young fellas that played most games severely lost interest towards xmas as it was just same blokes helping out week in and week out. There was no direction for us. Us A graders never trained after round 2. Could you tell? haha without a doubt you could.

With our B's and C's, i think when they asked us before the season to play under the Roo's Banner, shouldve been told that no matter what, your available for higher selection.
But hindsight is a wonderful thing isnt it.

I think and hope, the executive committee sees this season for us as a minor hiccup and does not punish us with exclusion.

So now, please, enough of your love making to Dutchy. Our whole club is in the wrong, incl Dutchy.

you to make some good points i guess yes i will take full responsability for the season the A grade had (even the game where i was in woomera working and you guys didnt play cause it was hot and thought swimming would be better!) but you know yaself box machine we hardly knew anything at all about the div 3 and 5 sides apart from we knew they were going ok and i hadnt heard of anything to bad in terms of feedback from the exc. comm of there behaviour or anything like that untill the end of the year but as you stated it was probably our worse season of cricket ever and that is what we are putting it down to so next year we will all put our heads down and really show the comp what we are made of.
