I would still leave the finals on the Sundays to maximise crowds.
Sheidow played in 3 competitions last year. SAMCA is dictated on where you finish in the ASCA competition the previous year and the top 8 teams invited to play off to find 2 to represent the association. The third was run by Southern Districts. Southern Cricket Association play theirs of an evening during the week but they also have grounds with lights that can be used to help out. I can't think of many grounds in our association with that luxury (cove, icc, Morphy parks, plympton, coro can use blackwood, north haven, south road - all footy grounds and unsure of the quality of lights for a game). What about all the other teams? Playing games generally won't start till 6 as you get people coming from work and needing to get ready as opposed to being at training then taking their time to get ready.
Good idea in theory but the competition is still in its infancy. And as someone who played in multiple competitions you soon learn there is such a thing as too much cricket! If your proposal is to work you would need groups of 4 and 3 weeks of round robins so you play each team in your group once. The top team would then progress through. But the association would need to nominate grounds and dates for them to be played else the debacle of previous years will rise again.
