only 80 legs. i think its a joke if you going to reduce it make it worth it and go to 60 overs. taking 8 overs is sfa and with the extra breaks your still on the oval til 6

Hows the turf pitch going?

coming along good mate FINALLY!! Turf is down and has taken very well, extremely green and lush. It gets its first roll in about 5 or 6 weeks so we will know more then but it should be ok to train on ready for finals. Wont get to play on it i suggest, will be too up and down, mind you thats how it will be for a chunk of next year until it settles. Exciting for the club though to see it taking shape

get some tips/costs Browny
that way you can report back to the committee that it isnt that expensive
turf at The Lodge - would shut a few up on the footy forum or would they complain that the turf wicket is as hard as concrete ;)

Its a pretty costly excercise, round about 19 - 20 thousand for a three pitch turf wicket, plus im not sure the oval at the lodge would be big enough would it? boundaries on either side would be pretty short

You might do that sort of thing at Smithfield LM but at The Lodge we prefer to get a grant for that sort of thing ;)

So obviously Sibbs has turned 35 ;) not sure how Browny will cope not being able to play in the same team - I suppose he could lie about his age

I would say Sibbs only at The Lodge as no one else over 35 is playing A Grade that I can think of - if they had an over 60's then Steve "Gus" Holding would be captain best cricketer of his age running around PDCA still pumping out the 100's

I'm not sure if they are the best two from each club but here's some qualifiers that I know of.
Brahma Lodge: Some old fella called Sibsomething?
Atco: Gary Sutton, Brenton Tomlinson
Sal Nth: Bomber?, Mal McGrath
Virginia: Jonny Natisias, Alex Leo
OTH: Danny Stevens, Olly, Tony Burke
Smithfield: Rundle x2, James Morris, Craig Lowe, Bret Mathews
Craigmore: Rob Howe
Playford: Darren Ongley
Riverside: Dog Mann, Adam Colbourne
Central Utd: Nick Thomas, Walker?, Grant Hodder
Eastern Park: Knoxy
PGCC: Marius Danielak, Mark McConnell

Just a few names that play A's or should be.
