Haha! Yes, there will always be the loud-mouthed knockers guys. Usually the ones who've never played above Div 3, wouldn't know who is quality in Div 1 and who is not, and happy to tap away on the keyboard and not back their gobs up. If their opinions mattered at all, there might be cause to take offense - but they don't rate at all, so it's all good. ;)

I'm happy to carry the can if selections made are not up to scratch - that's what the coach does (hope you're reading this Neil Craig.. LMAO! ) - but the feedback I'm getting from the Exec and the players who bother to put their hands up to represent the Association is all positive, so I know that we're on the right track. You only need to see how we smashed A&SCA in the last round of the SAMCA Cup to see the evidence of it. Looking forward to making some hard calls a few weeks before we fly out of Adelaide en route to Sydney. Details of training dates & times etc will be posted on here and on the C&CCA website when that info comes to light.

It's time to make our mark on the 2010/11 National Carnival - last time we won it, Baldo wasn't even born yet..

How can you have a crack at Rich a top cricketer on the field and an above average bloke of the field :D
He spends most of his time on the field and off (GF the exception) trying to get a laugh at his own or a teammates expense (normally Simo as he gives him so much amo or myself). Hardly knob behaviour have a good look at yourself champ and see if you have done as much for your club or the assoc as Rich has done over the last few years. Tipping PV would not have won 3 in a row if it weren’t for the work Rich and others do on and off the field.

hey chaps

well im finally over the thumping we got in the GF, and have resurfaced for some light and air.
Seems alot is happening on here in the off season, so id thought id thrown in 2c worth:

1. Strong rumour is that a div1 or div2 club(s) is/are seriously looking to move to turf.
2. Strong rumour is that fitzroy will seek to have representatives in the Sydney Carnival Team
3. Strong rumour is that a Division 4 star will be joining A Div 1 team
4. Strong rumour is BB will be taking the gloves behind the stumps after his stint in the semi final v NEK
5. Strong rumour is that Baldo will play a defensive stroke.
6. Strong rumour is that Plucka is coming off the long run
7. Strong rumour is that Pistol will NOT have a counter in his pocker to count runs
8. Strong rumour is that Spin Twin will be bowling WITH the wind this year, and challange the accuracy of the radar gun at top end
9. Strong rumour is that the two people behind "mythbuster(s)" blew their identity during a drunken rampage
10. Strong rumour is that the exec have taken a restraining order on me, and i am no longer allowed to use their name in vein
11. The strongest rumour is that auto....you still suck :P

ok, enough rumours from me

Luv ya work BB. ;)

Good to hear the news that a few Fitzys boys will be throwing their hat into the National Championships ring. 8) I'm getting a short rest in now, coz the 6mths in the lead up to the Carnival is gonna be nuts! We're expecting to have to make some tough selection calls a few weeks before Xmas, but I know we will be putting an excellent side on the park that week, with more guys exposed to rep level and we'll be better prepared to break our 42yr drought! Keep an eye out for announcements as they come to light.

On the fishing front, just had 4 days in Pt Vic mate, but you'll be glad to hear the fishing was DAMN tough!! Still came back with a solid feed of KG's, snook & squid, but not the sort of ridiculously easy fishing that Pt Vic is renowned for. Off on a charter at Pt Broughton chasing big reds on plastics in 2.5wks. Will get you out again in the SS Wino once the whispers start filtering through of KG's schooling up on my spots.. ;)

PS; Keep your chins up Crows supporters... hahaha!

Hey BB, Was actually thinking about retiring from cricket, which would leave me with the fantastic statistic of beating you for season runs in my last season of A grade. It has a nice ring to it!

Looks like i've made my debut on the herald SAfooty forum. Thank You Reggie.

I would like to echo Reggie's words and say that Richo has single handedly batted, bowled, fielded and most importantly recuited PV into 3 straight. Great man.

Will Paralowie stay in Div 1 or will Rose Parks come up? Rose Parks must be keen as they are advertising for Div 1 players.

C'mon guys, not much talk on here lately. Think there are a few things that need to be answered.
Here's my short list:

1. Just how much is NEK paying Eddie? Heard he was offered a slab of draught and a carton of Winnie Blues, surely
he's worth more than that!!
2. Will the Phantom's new team get off the ground? ( I hope it does by the way )
3. Will the exec. get some new members? Would be good to have more members that have actually played cricket this century. ( or even late last century )
4. What will Northern Wolves and Paralowie call their new club?
5. Will Betania be playing this season?

Hi Oxygen

If you are who i think you are.

Maybe you should stop being a keyboard hero and get out there and play.

1. Eddie has signed for the same deal that one of our senior batsmen was on before he retired..

2. Phantom has shelved plans for his team as they have no funds for a pie warmer.

3.No new members this year. But i hear they maybe changing some rules to keep Fitzroy in our comp.

4.Who care about their name it will be in Div 5 anyway.

5.Betania are not in our comp anyway. If you knew what you were talking about. AC Blues will still be in comp but not in same division.
