How ridiculous was the Wanderer situation on Saturday. Their A Grade gets bowled out for 35 and they have Simon Williams playing B Grade and he makes 127*. Is it any wonder why they will finish bottom of the ladder. They are the laughing stock of the league ATM.

Another win to the Lakesiders. 4 from 4 and finally a big scalp. High scoring match with Meningie batting first scoring 256 behind a maiden century to Matt 'Vegie' Hera-Singh. Karoonda fought well to be bowled out for 226.

Imps v Meningie by the lake should be a great game this week.. Imps destroyed Mannum yesterday making 7/210 off 50 overs then bowling Mannum out for 101.. Imps have had the wood over meningie at meningie in recent years including a couple of outright wins so should be a good match...

I think it works, but still reckon we should be starting at 12.30pm...

We played at Mannum on Saturday and despite only having bowled 38 overs in the second innings, it was 6.40 by the time we finished, so I would hate to have a game like that go the full 50 overs in both innings early in the season as it would be dark by the time the game finished...

No real problem with the format though..... Not sure too many games are going the distance either....

Congratulations must go to Imps skipper Luke Harrowfield for his third century on the trot leading imps to another massive win... Is in a rare vein of form, let's hope he doesn't waste too many runs in the Meyer shield this weekend

I see in the results up for the weekends games that Karoonda lost to Jervois.... Absolutely unbelievable result and catapults Jervois from bottom to 3rd to bottom on the ladder....

Means Karoonda is effectively a game out of the top four, and will almost come down to Meningie and Karoonda for fourth spot.... You would think at this stage Meningie have a much easier draw, but the top 3 and Karoonda all play each other, so there will be no easy games from here on in, and will be a good build up to finals.

Here is the ladder for those who can't be bothered looking

1 Mypolonga 154.23
2 Monarto 120.95
3 Murray Bridge Imperials 115.31
4 Meningie 101.65
5 Karoonda 92.25
6 Jervois 60.65
7 Mannum 56.67
8 Wanderers 54.08

Good Luck to those representing the MTCA in the Meyer Shield this weekend.... About time we won the shield!!

Witnessed the innings and was well deserved. Dropped a couple of times but you need that in a century and playing better than anyone atm.

MEYER SHIELD RESULTS

Boys started the weekend well

MTCA 8/180 def Hills 100 on sat

Sunday, A&EH all out 79 of 48.1 overs v MTCA
Harrowfield just out for 0, not a good start even for a small chase...

I see the old karoonda magpies sent an ominous warning to the rest of the competition with a resounding victory over Imps on Sat!

Thoughts on the final 4??
