It'll take more than Tarque leaving for Meadows to falter.
On another note: word is Mylor won't be competing in A grade...um, or B grade for that matter. You'll see the likes of Gaunt in C grade. Some of their guys have gone to Echunga, the footy connection.
Stirling are no more in A grade. B grade at the moment is down to 7 teams (I think) with ER trying to drop as well; Baskets gone (again, relying on memory here) with the HCA wanting Happy Valley to go to A's but they want 2 C grade teams  No can do, was the answer.
Good news - a mix of one dayers & two dayers in B grade should bring some more numbers back!

Fair enough, I heard that only a few were going across. I wasn't sure if he was one. There were a couple of obvious ones but I thought that some were staying for C grade.

Yeah we'll see how many go up in the next few weeks, always tough to get footy players to commit to cricket during footy finals.

On another note, HCA are expecting to start October 8th, day before SANFL Grand Final
Grand Final on 31st March-1st April

Long season....

TVCA starts October 8th also. But we finished much earlier, usually mid March.

Will be an 8 team A grade as expected. Currently 6 clubs have nominated B grade teams (total of 7 teams with Mt Torrens fielding 2 B grades), while Lenswood and possibly Birdwood are attempting to find enough players for a second team.

In a sad sign of the times, it's been decided that there will be NO TVCA junior competitions. So the handful of clubs that have a junior team or two are exploring options for joining other comps (i.e Birdwood and Lenswood with AEH, Palmer with Murray Towns, Paracombe to head to the suburbs).

Another TVCA meeting in couple of weeks to finalise senior team nominations.

Where's Sinkers going?
It definitely sounds like Mylor will NOT be in A grade or B grade, so I guess we'll move on. Haven't heard too much about movements. I don't think much has happened at the Gate, a loss will be Bjordal probably not playing any A's this year so it could be a tough summer, run-wise again. We need some run machines. Tarque was a small chance at the end of last season but he's obviously gone.
Anyone else know how they're shaping up?

Sinkas is on a contract with an english county side for the 2011/2012 english summer so needs to put everything on ice for the Australian summer.... big loss for the red hats.

Haha JQ, fell hook, line & Sinkers (mind the pun for that one). Unfortunately the big man did his ACL towards the end of the footy season so he won't be pulling on the whites this season. He will however be spinning the decks at Redhats games this year as DJ Helsinki lights up the ground 20/20 style.

Also heard child prodigy Sam 'Onion' Birrell will be returning to the Gate? Surely he will be in the A's?

A shame to see S Wise go to Bridgey, had a lot of good cricket at the Gate.

For an A grade spot. Problem is, if he doesn't make it one week, he has to play C's as Shanty don't have a b grade.

I have also heard that Dunbar is heading back to Bridgey, given Sinclair is out this season.

Looks like Tyson Rathjen and Craig Paech have returned to the Rock Farmers at Palmer after a stint with Lobethal.
