when are we going to join other assoc and start saturday and sunday finals ?
we are left behind every year by not giving it a go. IMO
rather than a wash out or heated out one week, we can have the games over in a weekend.

just come and join us smasha

my mate (ex-employee) still playing out there ? one day I will come out and have a look mate.

Option of 6/6 two/one dayers or 7/3.

Season start 13th Rocktober

What was wrong with the old 5 and 5 program? Gives us a week off for the test and Oz Day long weekend. Now we’ll be playing on both.

Looks like the clubs will be voting on the one day format being either 35 or 40 overs a piece. And allowing bonus points for having wickets in hand for one dayers.

Sorry Pidge and Smasha but I didn't mind the Saturday/Saturday finals that I experienced for the first time last year. If you don't make the finals it gives you plenty of time off before silly footy season starts. Saturday/Sunday cricket is no good for the blokes who have partners that hate cricket and it's good when you either win or commiserate a final you can do it on a Saturday night. Plus being a church comp, we all have church on Sunday to attend :)

church comp is a joke.......
we play by one teams rules and if they dont like it nothing is allowed to change, I play in this comp with my mates and that is the only reason I play churches.
it seems this comp is happy to go backwards, as 35 overs in a one dayer is pathetic change it to 20/20 if u want to shorten from 40 overs..
points for wickets in hand may seem like a good idea but .....what about the guys that bat in the lower order all year round ? when do they have a hit and giggle ? you will end up losing players.
5 and 5 is a joke , you are not playing enough cricket, IT is cricket that we are wanting to play so play more games, surely we can come up with a better format than what is being proposed by the assoc. time to move forward gentlemen get out of the dark ages and lose the churches stigma of being the joke of all assocs, this is my thoughts for the day and I dont get many so thats why I wrote it down on here......

The more Cricket the better.
I don't want it to be like last season where we have virtually a whole month off over Christmas and New Years.
7 & 3 would be the best split IMO.
Finals are two-dayers, so you should play as many of them in the normal rounds as possible.
6 one-dayers is too much.
It's Somma Time!

More one dayers, what a joke! Obviously the Association is trying to look after the slappers from Rose Park who cant hit a ball along the carpet.
How have they got the power to get the league to change the fixture and schedule in more one dayers to suit there game plan on there postage stamp.
Cricket is about 2 dayers, not this hit and giggle crap!

If you wish to change something within this comp. now is the time. The next delagates meeting
is July 16 at Adel. Lutheran clubrooms from 7.
At this meeting they are asking for submissions to rule changes ect. so if you have an idea
put it in writing and print off one for each club. Your clubs suggestions will then be voted on
at the AGM on the 27th August.
So get talking within your club and get organised!

Gday posters,
Have a mate at work who plays for Rose Park in this comp. He has asked me to come out and play with them next season.
Haven't seen this comp before so i was wondering what the standard is like and what type of club they are.
He keeps on saying to me some type of dynasty or something like that.
WTF is he on about!

The NEK proposal is 5 two day games and 10 one day games, see below, it's a bit hard to read sorry,(I cant host files at work).

Two options (Week number/ Date/ Option 1 / Option 2)
1 6/10/2012 1 nogame
2 13/10/2012 2 1
3 20/10/2012 3 2
4 27/10/2012 4 3
5 3/11/2012 5 4
6 10/11/2012 5 5
7/11/2012 6 5
8 24/11/2012 6 6
9 1/12/2012 7 6
10 8/12/2012 7 7
11 15/12/2012 8 7
12 22/12/2012 9 8
13 29/12/2012 Xmas Xmas
14 5/01/2013 New New
15 12/01/2013 10 9
16 19/01/2013 11 10
17 26/01/2013 12 11
18 2/02/2013 13 12
19 9/02/2013 14 13
20 16/02/2013 14 14
21 23/02/2013 15 14
22 2/03/2013 15 15
23 9/03/2013 SF 15
24 16/03/2013 SF SF Sat/Sun
25 23/03/2013 GF GF Sat/Sun
26 30/03/2013 GF Reserve Day

The second option has Saturday Sunday finals which we think are well overdue, the first option doesn't have them (but then has no reserve day for the GF). Basically it tries to gets as much cricket in the season as possible, with two day games before finals and one day games at the start (where we typically lose a week or two for rain) and either side of xmas (where getting players for consecutive weeks is a little harder).

I had to leave halfway through the meeting last night (work), so if someone could post a summary that would be great.
