The standard between our district comp and Shield level is too great, therefore the players struggle to adapt.
I know there are many years of club history at various district clubs and nobody would be keen on a merge, unless we lose a few clubs we are always going to be behind the 8-ball and our youth will be forced to play where they are told.
Prospect will always struggle as they neighbour 8 other SACA clubs, therefore the other clubs have to compensate, it's unfortunate situation but it's something that wont go away.

LM being a former youth player in the barossa i was never and for that fact i dont know of any other junior cricketers that have been told were they had to play... I understand the travel reasons for the attraction to salisbury oval, but in fairness... its only 15 minutes longer to get to say perteringa or port reserve, everyone has a choice.

I think you might find that the choice is going to be taken away from the individual, unless you are currently registered with another SACA club. Zonings will be introduced and followed up, very similar to the SANFL underage competition.
