Who made runs Donkey?? Hopefully Hands and Burden are getting themselves into a little form for the 20/20 comp next Sunday, oh and the country carnival. Ango made 205 against Freeling after being in some strife at 5/70, burgess senior made 80 odd and a few cameos down the order pushed their score above 200. Freeling 0/3 in reply. On that both sides paid respect to Brad Muster with a minute silence before the game and wore arm bands. Congrats to Freeling in the way they conductrd themselves during such a tragic time.

Burden made about 30 before his mobile phone went off in his pocket as he was facing up and probably another 30 after.... although I thought it was a bit much when he pulled the laptop out at the non strikers end. Hands missed out. Kokot about 60 as well - could have been more if he'd connected with more of the cuts he was attempting. Couple young lads made 50 and 70 as well.

Long day in field... oval was lightning fast and pitch a road. Couldn't even get an lbw - umpire Kogan said he saves them for Burgess senior.

Was surprised the skipper won the toss and had no hesitation sending Sandy in, few of the lads were very happy to say the least

I guess pitch is always a road, and can't see the ground getting any slower. With any luck it's 37 next week: )

It was a pretty emotional win given the circumstances of the last few days with the tragic loss of a great mate to all the boys. Credit to Angaston for teh way they handled our situation and a good game of cricket. Bluey scored 60 odd and Paro 40 odd, to see us home by 5 wickets with about ten overs to spare.

Maybe the lid came off a little early, those guys down at the Exchange spouting off a few weeks ago how they would be undefeated premiers might have a bit of egg on their faces ATM.

Big game at the dog track this week.
Looks like a battle between kapunda and lp for relegation.
South almost certainly promoted so it looks like the the ressies will be playing more turf games next year than the 1's

See that Crothers is back at Centrals, should be a good pick up. Rumours of another decent bowler joining this week aswell, will give them a fair attack. Must of been some panic at the Dog Track as they felt they needed to bring in more players into an already impressive squad.

Not sure about panic. There were some inclusions being talked about prior to Christmas.

Of course it's panic stations, Change of captain last week, Crothers in who has great potential but fails to deliver 95% of the time.
Lost 4 in a row, 2 to sides that are challenging and 2 to the bottom 2 at the time, i'd say the button has been pushed.

Look I don't like to get involved with the going ons at other clubs but I would say most clubs in this league have blooded a young player or two in the past couple seasons to keep them in good sted for future years... Have G/C done this ? I would doubt it.. Always bringing new guys (imports) in, maybe give a young local fella a chance they might just surprise u...

Young guys being given a chance.. Probably a lot more which I've missed.

Angaston - Antonie brothers , Blake homes , Ryder eberhard
Freeling - Ben Heinrich , Hayden Robinson
Gawler central - ???
Gilbert valley - youngest vater, J. Connell
Kapunda - joey brown, zanandrais, Goode
Light pass- Schrapel , ty carnelly
Nuri - young horry Moore
Sandy creek - b. dew

Not saying its the right or wrong way to go about things but surely giving your local kids a crack isn't the worst thing to do... Just a thought!!!
