Would be like Aussie players not being allowed to play for their Shield teams when there's no international matches on

And Redbacks not being allowed to play Grade cricket

Its nothing like that, what compares to that is someone not getting selected in the grade clubs d grade which is catered for.

On another note tony, do you know how long grade clubs have to action a clearance request?

Pretty sure Travis Head went and played a game for South Gawler a few seasons ago on a Saturday where he had no Grade or Domestic duties, scored 4 for memory?

He did play. Not long after the Phil Hughes tragedy.

It is exactly like that!

I'm not sure about the clearances. It's either 2 weeks or 4 weeks, can't remember which. I think once they've sat on it for a month with no action the association can approve it themselves.

Any word in fixtures yet?

Will be an interesting season, South Gawler will be the big winners this year. Will struggle to lose a game. Looking forward to seeing how the new turf pitch plays

Think Angaston going for 4 in a row might have something to say about that.
Souths tail might want to muster more than 2 or 3 in the big games, and when i say tail i mean the last 7 or 8 batsman ;)

I just looked and Grade 1 wasn't up, any reason?

Souths to lose with the additions they've made

Only a week away from Round 1. How are sides looking? Spoke to someone with ties to Sandy and they look to be struggling, lost a fair few throughout the grades and also noticed they have dropped their A4 side. Are any other clubs struggling with numbers?

Some interesting results on the weekend, Freeling 4/4 at one stage, Bluey would be ropable being run out for a globe, Coombsy playing A's?

Mallala 8 for a billion against Centrals, Matthew Birchmore 152 not out, welcome to A1's.

Sandy first innings points already with Diener unbeaten on 102 out of 4/121.

Some scores ive heard

Ango 1s didnt win outright, Scott Rathjen 100n.o
Ango 2s outright against bennymacca, welcome to the big boys league ;)

Sandy Creek 1s beat Gilbert Valley outright Handtke 6/9
Willaston 2s flogged Sandy Creek, Josh Glenn tonned up, good to see Willaston stronger this year .

Light Pass were looking good to upset last years premiers in the Ressies. Cogan off to a winning start?
Eudunda beat the relegated Lyndoch easily in the ressies

How did the 2017/18 premiers go?
