You got 7/18 what in under 9s? Lol My figures with both bat/ball and premierships would put you to shame mate so i would stop there if i was you. I wouldnt want to shame you so i wont print.

i think if you go back and have a read i said in the a grade, you must have less than half a brain judging by your reading capabilites, lionsforth was being generous with the half a brain comment by the looks, lucky your good at sport tho

Things like this tells me there is a huge difference between the two as there should be. Anyway
enough of that. You know all and have a bit to say and you are a risdon stalwart what have you and your clubs committee done to fix your clubs problems or what are you intending to do? Anything or just blame others?

i did try and play a grade your right, i think i was coming 3rd in the grewar medal, and 2nd in the wickets, at the christmas break that season, if my memory serves correctly, but enough of a b grade scrubber trying to big note him self. when you realize that there is no chance of winning a premiership unless you play for 1 of 2 teams it becomes a bit pointless, doesnt it?

Dont worry about xmas its at the end of the year that counts. I have led the grewar medal plenty of times but never won one. Did finish second one year to the great S.Fuchs one year and i think he has won 14. How many B grade medals have you won so far? The gloating you have just done surely you would of won a couple of them? And no whichgrade its not pointless you work harder try and improve and reach the level of the top two sides. Show some guts/determination/character and dont accept that you cant match the top sides. That comment is a poor reflection on you and your clubs attitude as your club showed on saturday arvo. Theres your problem.

Finding it hard to get my head around you getting 7 wickets in A grade. Out of interest you didnt play north on a sunday when they swapped their Agrade and Bgrade sides around did you?

If we are saying that there are issues with cricket in Pirie, and yes there are, I don't think that the solution comes down to individuals. The overarching problem is that we have only 5 a grade sides compared to 8 b grade sides and an embarrassing 1 under 17 side (actively playing). There is an obvious imbalance that is affecting development of the game in our comp.

It would help if players turned up to play and help there club and captain out. What is your solution to the problems you have mentioned lions?
Tell clubs unless you can supply an Agrade side you cant play in B grade comp? Lift the juniors age or drop it? Have a side made up of the best under21s and get them to play A grade?

We have gone over this many times Larry,

no Sunday Games
40 overs instead of 50
10am starts

seems to be the solution the members of safooty.net came up with

Yes i know that. Dont think there has been a forfeit on a sunday. Some people like sat/sun cricket as if they play sat they then can go watch sundays game and vica/versa Sat and sun cricket is good for shift workers.50 overs to 40 has some merit i reckon.10am starts has merit as well but some people work til twelve and what do you suggest the B grade do? Is there enough ovals? Probably mean more afternoon games for them which they dont like or want do they?

I would say its fair to say Sollies would of struggled on a couple of sundays without the help of some out of towners.

Risdonz don't like Sundays as they can't back up from reds on satdy night.

Sad to hear of the decline of the junior grades, back in my day there were 5 teams and all had heaps of numbers. Risdonz had about 20 players at one stage. Seems as if no one took over after guys like thorpe, mills, wandies bloke I forget the name off, ray lee who all made the comp.

What needs to happen is these games start later in the day, its bloody hard for a 16/17 year old to start playing at 8:30 on a Sunday morning after a night on the diet cokes.

Or perhaps people would rather play Xbox than play cricket. Then I don't think there is a solution.

A strong junior comp can only help numbers in the higher grades.

I have some very unique ideas for the A grade problems which I will post later.

On a side note, who do you have to sleep with to get the pitches re-marked on the complex
