yea and before Christmas they were top weren't they?? So you need more inclusions (which is couple guys haven't played!! at all), for wehat reason? You might not be sure but it seems like some guys at centrals are sure. Btw kapunda also blooded young tom williams, another junior.

Definitely panic stations at Gawler Central, they have lost their last four matches by an average of 15 runs (all four were away from home too)-

R11 - Lost to Nuriootpa by 3 runs.
R10 - Lost to Gilbert Valley by 11 runs
R9 - Lost to Freeling by 21 runs
R8 - Lost to Angaston by 27 runs

Speaking of youngsters playing A Grade cricket do Gawler Central players Chris Bilney, Dave Miller, Matt Ness, Matt Perry or Jordan Shephard qualify for that list?

Jordan Shepherd has played some, not sure of his age.
Matt Perry would be about 24. Has had a good shot.

Kingy jumped ship, Days? Is that fair to say? All he's done is given up the captaincy, not left the club...

They are in a very interesting position though. Particularly after failing to win the flag last year.

I agree. I was just clearing up part of his question.
In that context, Perry don't count. I'm not sure of Shephard's age.

Shephard is 19 or 20...Miller didn't play juniors at the club. The others were all junior products.

I guess the trouble with being close to town is that Northern Districts is just down the road and a lot of kids have tried their luck there (with the club's blessing) and not been available for A Grade selection.

Keeping junior cricketers involved is a massive issue for the association full-stop. There are only 6 under 16 teams and there have been crisis meetings about what to do to keep them involved at this level...

Couldn't agree more Extractor... Back in my day we only had U15's and U12's nowadays there is U16's, U14's, U12's, U10's and milo cricket, which to me is just far too many age groups. I think we need to cut one out, my thinking is that we move to U15's, U12's and U9's plus obviously Milo Cricket. A good portion of the older U16's are already playing in the senior level so most at 15 or 16 years are ready to step up, I don't see it being a massive step to increase U14's to U15's and likewise with changing U10's to U9's the older kids playing under 10's at the moment could play under 12's easily. This will also give a 3 year age spread to choose from rather than 2 years. It certainly is one for the Association to fix, and quickly

Depends if its too wet at a turf venue on the day of the final, then it might get changed to hard wicket but the teams wont know until midday of the final? Isn't that the way it works?

May be a lack of turf pitches come finals anyway.
Have heard that Tanunda has to be completely resurfaced after the new turf was done incorrectly.
Went past Sandy on tuesday and it should be renamed Sandy Desert as it resembles the Sahara at the moment, wouldnt think they would be getting any finals this year. The deck looked a treat but outfield is bare

Mate a bit of water and the outfield would look a treat come finals time.

Of course it's panic stations, Change of captain last week, Crothers in who has great potential but fails to deliver 95% of the time.
Lost 4 in a row, 2 to sides that are challenging and 2 to the bottom 2 at the time, i'd say the button has been pushed.

Heard they have already lost today and facing a potential outright next week.
Panic mode definately.
Obviously the ex skipper wasnt the problem

Bought in another new player this week, you would be pretty happy if you have played all year and get dropped for the 2 new guys they have introduced in the last 2 weeks.
