yeh thats fair enough, but surely if you told these blokes that then they would want to stay at goolwa. Why would they want to leave goolwa for pt elliot anyway? Pt Elliot are going to struggle! I personally dont have any problem with the way andy plays his cricket, i think his passion his great! ive played a lot of association cricket with andy and personally think its good value when he goes off in the field like hes been known to do. I think its the older fellas who dont know him off the cricket field that have a problem with him, and if andy was unhappy at goolwa i would love to see andy come down and play with us as he is one of the best young cricketers in the GSCA, you'd b silly not to want to have him in our side!!

Fisrt i have ever heard that Andy was unhappy at Goolwa,i know he wanted to be Captain last year but the committee thought he needed one more year, that is why he will most likely be Captain this year.

With money being offerd last year,Willunga <as i was told may be rumour>he was offerd no subs plus match payments of $50 per game with other incentive, but this may only and most likely be rumour.

With Goolwa needing to offer things to keep these kids at Goolwa we have done everything they wanted and more,i agree with you why would they want to go to Port Elliot but i suppose $10 fuel money and $10 over the bar must be huge for them  ,i just hope when they go and if they go they will see what they have missed and come back,i wonder if Port Elliot are also going to pay there outstanding subs to Goolwa from last year,or they wont be cleared ,we will just have to wait and see.

No offcutters.. not much of anything really.. struggle to get them turning off the straight!

Looks like I might struggle to get a game at Elliot this year with all the money that's being offered around down there..

Us C graders won't get any of the spoils though! You townies will flood the club!

I've also heard suburban team ICCC Sharks are offering some serious coin about the place..

LOL i dont think sooo But I can see why Port Elliot would offer Incentives and Find it great....

In order for country cricket to survive clubs should not mind paying some money off subs and petrol to help players out coming from town....Personally doing it for the last few years and trying to get to training from town isn't cheap

If Port Eliiot paid some cash to people coming from town why not go down there every weekend it is a nice place and encourages people to get better A grade players for both the club and the association.....

We would rather drink our extra cash down here.
Or throw another steak on the barby.

We would consider playing and paying a brewers son if you know of any.

yes i agree ramadash down at rapids you seem to have a good social atmosphere, but if you want your club to survive long term, you need to get colts sides up and running.!

That my friend would be a very formidable team.
one that is filled with experience, creativity and youthful exuberance.
One that would take all (including the great noarlunga) if formed.

From what i hear from a reliable source (club secretary) serge minot has moved on. Who will skipper the willunga juggernaut now seeing as L. Harding and the Williamson brothers are playing at flinders university this season, as well as all the retirements.

surley if williamson and harding dont play for willunga then we could see mcmillan coming back home to the bulls...would be handy with the retirments from the premiers

This is what I also heard from a few of the Mt Compass boys when we played them at footy, apparently McMillan has been offered the job at Mt Compass due to Num's retirement. If he left last year why would he then go back after only one year? And if this is true about Willunga and some of their younger players in Williamson and Harding what has happened to Willunga in the off season?

Not sure compass would offer the captaincy to mcmillan after last years mid season switch to willunga! anyway is he a bowler that bats or a batter that bowls? Be sad to see the end of serge though a good bowler who was always a real challenge for us lefties with his swing. :) :)

I heard from some of the compass boys that he was vc for compass and was forced away after disagreeing issues with the current captain.
after the finals these boys said that now the captain was gone they wanted McMillan back.
I would believe there is some truth to Mcmillan captaining compass.
What future would willunga offer him if all the people are exiting.
nothing worse than being a captain of a team that gets flogged every week, i can testify to that.
