talking about front foot.. i do remember playing AH and a little shri lankin was playing for them and went on the front foot and got one right in the face.. gee that was a shocking pitch back in the day..

I believe it.

Lucky for us we dont play on that one these days. We play on the No. 1 ground on the corner of Henley Beach Rd and West Tce.

For those clubs in grade 2, anyone game to make some ladder predictions??

Can see Craigmore been competitive again, always seem to do really well without a team of stars. As long as Dobbo goes around again, they will make the 4. Playford should do well, good bunch of blokes who enjoy not only playing cricket, but having a good time. If the youth at Eastern park can keep developing, they should be around 4th spot. Good talent, just need the direction. If Zieke Prime comes back out there this year, that will set up the top 5 with an Age bracket of 16-18 I'd imagine.

Can someone tell me who went down from Grade 2? I know the bottom 2 was Central United and Smithfield, but with St Pauls withdrawing, how does that set the season up team wise?

No one went down as St Pauls have pulled out of PDCA, AV and Salisbury Nth go up to grade 1 and Parafield Gardens and I think Riverside or Willaston come into grade 2.

It doesn't look like Willaston will be joining us, they hadn't nominated as of Wednesday last week.

Didnt they like the idea of rejoining in Div2 LM, probably hoping to come back in in a lower div!!!

Could be the case, I thought div.3 would've been fairer, although div.2 is probably equivalent to div.3 5 or 6 years ago. It used to be the norm to come back through div.3.
I'm led to believe that they weren't aware of what grade they were going to start in, I think a few blokes thought they'd start cricket back up out there and it lost it's wheels, my understanding is that they haven't responded since their initial enquiries.
I have bad memories of a semi-final against Willaston from 95-96, the most gut-wrenching game I have ever played in.

I got an sms today saying that our opening bowler and our opening batsman have both left to a turf club, that is going to hurt.
