Bloods, if you put as much effort into cricket as you put in to moaning about certain umpires, people might actually think you could play the game. No one gives a rats about 1 delivery in a total of 70 overs. Maybe take a leaf out of Donaldsons book and then people might, but i doubt , start listening to you!!!

yeah well the bays had a win today. were 8/49 chasing 112 and won 8 down. ritchie overall 44* and cam lintern 27* put on about 70 for the 9th wicket. then knocked over goolwa for 46 in 19 overs leaving us 41 for an outright win with 12 overs to get them. fell 3 runs short. good days cricket. WOW, our hero batsmen happily batted on a wet wicket today that was doing plenty at times and still managed to get the win after being in deep $hit. just thought i'd let ya know.

 Good to hear that RCQ, it made my weekend knowing that a couple of bay boys have a ticker & you had a win!! ;) C'mon mate, this thread was in a dive but the post got a stir & a few pages of fun. Never was knocking the people that get the turf up to scratch week in week out, more the decision to play, knowing that the Bays needed those points to stay in the top couple ;)

Be pretty disappointed not to get that target with 10 wickets in the shed, did the bays shut up shop?

What?? Isn't that only 3.5 runs an over!! Who's playing for the red ink? Hate to say it but a side being bowled out for 41 & the bays not being able to get such a small score..... was the pitch up to standard???? ;)

pitch was fine. had dried out by that stage. was just some good bowling by andy and kussy to keep things quiet. not many really bad ones bowled all day

Bays have a good side but are definately a BEATABLE side, very even comp this year, everyone has players out every week so that is a pretty weak comment.

On other notes heard bays wouldnt play on a wed night for the 20/20 against Port elliot due to lack of numbers which is Also Poor, other teams are playing on wed nights with people from other grades, what gives them the authority to decide when they play.

Also heard Donaldson and Lydeamore are out this week against the Vale, After a bright start, I think they will struggle to make the 4 as they have no batting depth whatsoeva. And have only beaten some of the bottom sides.

im not running our 20/20 stuff but i think it is the game against yank that has been moved to sunday. as alot of our guys dont finish work till 5ish or come from adelaide, we wouldnt have been able to field a side for a 530 wednesday start. as its a half hour drive to yank. our second game against elliot is on the wednesday night as its just over the straight. no problems with time or anything. so yeah wasnt so much a thing of deciding when we will / wont play. more if we had to play at yank on a wednesday night we would have had to forfiet.
