Well done to Valleys, but Stirling would be disappointed not to make the GF after dropping back?

MASSIVE advantage with HV finishing above the 'gate & getting that homeshitpitch for the GF. In the end, it's hard to defend 90-odd anywhere...

 Apparently Aldgate have lodged a protest over the Under 14 grand final result?

They want Onkas disqualified for using a 142g ball in the first few overs sunday morning..... Apparently this is the reason why Aldgate lost...

Reid granted is a good bat, but he hardly bowls hand grenades. With that standard of Hills cricket dropping significantly over the past couple of seasons, think it's time for the Super League to start up. Bring in the best from AE&H, Hills and maybe Paracombe to bring them back to reality, to form a really strong comp. Otherwise no team in Hills will beat Meadows for years to come and risk what happened to Torrens Valley CA in becoming a 'B' grade comp.

Mmmm fairly sure that most already think it is a one sided 'B' grade comp!!

Aldgate rolled for 19 and Bridgy 42 - speaks for itself..... Perhaps the HCA should have looked at Lobethal & Woodside a little closer??

I would have thought that the AEHCA would be grinning ear to ear with the strength of their comp which will now only get stronger and become the premier league without question!

Why did Hills Smash A&EH in the Myer Shield then?
With out Rohan playing as well?

Iam pretty sure meadows has played all the top teams in a&eh in courier and won the t20 comp not bad for a b grade comp. also i agree with the saint, hills myer sheild winners. proof is the pudding

Pretty sure most teams in a&eh dont play their strongest teams in T20 or courier or take it all that seriously. Who prepares the wicket at Meadows? oh thats right its a concrete pitch, get them on turf and results might be different, any decent batsman can bat on a road. ;)

Batpad (aka - simpleton), i agree Meadows are the best country team in the State thanks to the Reid brothers and i'm sure most would agree any team they play for are major benefactors!

However i was commenting on the state of the HCA comp as a whole buddy!!!

I heard a rumor meadows did play there full side in the gf, maybe because they didnt have too. as for a&eh hills not filling there best sides in courier cup thats good as pretty sure woodside did, but they prob didnt take it serious as they were playing a b grade side. t20 gf iam pretty sure pooraka filled there full side, but that prob didnt count as they played on a road at adelaide oval. so keep knocking the hills comp as they are myer shield champs. Pretty sure nairne won the gf in the a&eh comp and they didnt have to prepare a pitch and pretty sure woodside beat strath on a prepared pitch. But as usual people knock the teams doing well as there team is always better or havent filled there full side. so keeping talking boys and all the best

There is no doubt the HCA produces enough decent players win the Meyer Shield, but the competition in the A&EH would be stronger. No doubt Meadows would more than hold their own in it, but the gap in quality between the 1st and 6th teams would be smaller in the A&EH compared to the HCA. Imagine Langhorne Creek vs Meadows in a Super League? Onkas vs Woodside?

The Hills comp missed the boat with Lobethal and Woodside. Would have improved their comp a lot

Having played both, I believe HCA is stronger. The likes of Bridgewater, Aldgate, Uraidla would all fair very well in A&EH and, in my opinion, Uraidla & Bridgewater would be around the mark of the Nairne side that won this year (despite both having their pants pulled down vs Meadows).

I think the Nairne side of a couple of years ago that included both Fosters & Heinrichs as well as a few different faces than this year's side would have given Meadows a decent crack though.

There are more garbage teams in the Hills Association and that's why it's a garbage comp.

Onkas, SCIB & Mt Lofty being the lower sides in the Hills comp v Ashbourne, Bremmer / Callington, Mt Barker in the A&EH....... hmmm I'm not sure I agree with the "more garbage teams in the Hills" slur at all.

Not to mention that the lower grades in the A&EH competitions could conceivably be renamed "Bedford Industries Saturday League".

bar20 - that's probably a fair moniker as it looks like you most likely type stuff when under the influence. Your comment was a rubbish generalisation. HCA overall has definitely fallen away but as for it being garbage...not true.
