not sure why that would be, and what's happened in previous 12 months I remember him having a beer after T20 last year at Ango, reckon if any two teams should get along in the 1's it's sandy and ango as they both play the game the way it should be played, hard on the field and drink up off the field..

How do you find Angaston Jimbob??

Not sure how we would have sour grapes at all, not really anything to do with us, we lost fair and square in the mid north tournament, i would be more pissed if i was clare having to beat a side from the BLCA twice.

had sandy not played in the comp this would be a null and void topic... and yes i am aware, it wasnt the blca' decision to send nuri, they did it off thier own back. at the end of the day i am just dissapointed that the blca will not be further represented in the T20 comp this year... but well done to both mobs! better luck next year

I went and watched the Ango boys put on a batting display today against Centrals at the dog track. The old stag Benny Burgess compiled a well timed 70 odd to guide the boys home with great support from Shaun Woodards (48) and young Tommy Adler (46). Both boys unlucky not to go on and reach 50. Shaun was run out unluckily but he would have easily made it if he didn't stop to do 20 push ups and 15 bicep curls during the run. The boys were looking at a 250 total for the day with about 20 overs to go when S.T. Koch was summoned to the middle and the bid fella produced a vintage display finishing with 65no including 5 big 6's and took the total score to 340 only 8 wickets down. Good effort boys and was a good day to sit back with 1 or 2 quiet ones and enjoy a day of cricket in the sunshine

This week

Sandy vs central
Angaston vs Greenock
Light Pass vs Tanunda
Gilbert Valley vs Nuri

Freeling vs Lyndoch
Truro vs South Gawler
Kapunda vs Eudunda

If games go to plan this week in the A1s with top 4 beating the bottom four the final 4 will be all but set with 3 games between 4th and 5th. I cant see any of those teams making up that gap

ST Koch, one of the best cow corner hitters we've seen.
Was eavesdropping on a conversation at the Brauhaus last night.
There were two cricketers discussing their ideal BL&G team of the decade on the back of a beer coaster.
Were a few heated selection dilemmas, such as Klemm or Burgess Jnr.
They couldn't decide on Burgess or Reid for the keeper/allrounder spot.
Picked up the beer coaster when they left:
M Johnson
C Reimann
JR Mosey
B Wall
G Stevens
ST Koch
B Burgess or A Reid
R Johnson
D Doecke
B Burgess Jnr
Couldn't find the other beer coaster with the other bowlers.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

Watching yesterdays innings i think the big fella has his mojo back, has been horribly misplaced for a couple seasons. He thrived when kingy decided to take the new ball.
If he can maintain this form it could be the missing link the panthers need to go all the way coming in at 7 to put the icing on the cake from the grafters ahead of him in burgess and kurtz ;)

Yes definatly was great to see "a blast from the past" yesterday, some BIG BIG zackers hit by the big boy 5 in total the same amount of BIG mac's smashed by him after the game at Ronalds house. =D certainly would be a few bowlers around the comp a little nervous that he could be "back".. And if he can keep the form will be massive plus for the panthers in the ONE day comp.. Certainly could serve some humble pie to ALOT of people if this continues.. And I'll be there to help serve it up if it does.

Fair team, the duke. I'll throw in ben klemm, guppa schmidt, Jimmy vandy or John lienert for the 11th spot... Yes I'm in agreeants about Burgess snr and A Reid, tough call you would definatly go Burgess with the bat that's a no brainer. But I feel as a gloveman Reid might just have him.. Played a bit more association cricket than Burgess Snr.. Quality keeper and bloke aswell!!! Not sure where Bo wall will be fielding =D
