On other notes heard bays wouldnt play on a wed night for the 20/20 against Port elliot due to lack of numbers which is Also Poor, other teams are playing on wed nights with people from other grades, what gives them the authority to decide when they play.

Also heard Donaldson and Lydeamore are out this week against the Vale, After a bright start, I think they will struggle to make the 4 as they have no batting depth whatsoeva. And have only beaten some of the bottom sides.

He's playing was just a minor injury last week

Blade rash or Chaffing ?????

neither mate, was a old injury that flared up

Funny stuff with Elliott & Districts playing each other this week.
Lydeamore & Bodie, both are very similar looking players.
It will be hard to work out who is who at times. :-?

tips for this round

compass vs myponga - compass should win well unless tommo or pacitti fire. pongy will need to get connor, spurling early.
enc bay vs aldinga - heard bryce is back so sharks in a tight one .enc bay too many changes each week .
willunga vs goolwa - top versus bottom. willunga to keep rolling along, very consistent. goolwa needs kuss and evans to fire.
mclaren vs port elliot - no donaldson but rocky b in. elliot to keep finals chances alive. :) :)

A very entertaining and action packed game of cricket today at Compass. Pongy batted first and put on 160-odd with Skater the star carrying his bat for 90. Compass got up in the last over thanks to some big hitting from Spurls (5 sixes in 31* ) after being cleaned up by a bouncer from the young Ranga lad (Patterson I think). Quite sharp for a youngster! Might be a bit scary in a few years when he fills out a bit! Also a bit of controversy with Faggotter being removed from the attack by Umpire Ifould for 'dangerous bowling'. Definitely not intentional, but numerous beam balls including the first four deliveries of the innings. Thankfully I was wearing brown underpants and plenty of extra padding on the torso!

wow, just thought i'd drop another one in for you. we batted first on the wet deck yesterday and made 4/176 off our 40. aldinga managed 109 once things had flattened out a bit. was a beauty to bat on for about the last 5 overs of our innings and most of the dingy innings.

Chris well said. and we feel your pain with the no bar etc. i was hanging for one. but as we share the rooms with the footy club and its a licenced premises we need a responsible persons officer there to be able to see frothies. its been at number 1 on the to do list for a while but getting people organised is easier said than done.

yes we understand richard, we had that problem for years. we thought the pitch was a belta to bat on just to many bats throwing wickets away. gotta get our heads bak and start making runs again bring on the new year

Whats happened to Mclarens? Rolled easily by Pongy! Heard that Mclarens should of had an extra 30 - 40 runs but a certain batsmen was looking after his own average and wouldn't have a go at the end. Who was that???

could have only been one man. probably the same bloke that comes on to bowl at the end of every innings to see if he can pick up a few cheap ones! cricket is definately a numbers game, but most of us tend to worry more about the teams numbers than our own!

Well what a fantastic day yesteday was, before i start i must give a massive thankyou to the Pt Elliott cricket club who put on a fantastic day and were very generous with their donations to both Grand Final teams.

What a final it was, two fantastic displays of twenty20 bowling. Put the batters to shame. BODIE WILSON what a legend, yesterday was his day, a blinder of a catch, some good at the death bowling and then a sensational run out to win the game.

Yeah once again Port Elliot deserve thanks for a great oval and facilities for yesterdays game, Matches were of good standard with some great fielding and bowling on display all day

Well done to the Mc Laren lads on a great upset win, was great to be involved and Encounter Bay showed they are the team to beat this year once again!
