Hey, what's the nets like at Rosies, they seem similar to ours, stashed away in a dark corner with surrounding big trees. Ours are a bit of a nightmare, uneven bounce and it doesn't help when bowlers lay them out (don't worry about sweeping off any debris :D ).
They provide some good laughs though at training.

Same at Eastern Park, ours get very dark easily with the surrounding trees there, there is also one tree left of the nets which if a ball goes anywhere near it, it is gone for good, that tree must have a few thousand balls in there.

Actually the nets aren't too bad, dont seem to get much debris on there. The worst part about the nets is there is no top on them and you get someone like Brookes thinking its baseball hitting home runs and you spend half the training chasing your ball across the road

Ours never used to have a roof, used to lose plenty down the creek. It took a bus getting a window smashed and a snake sighting for the council to give us a lid, far better now.

BL are's the same - surrounded by trees which makes for intersting batting as the light isnt the best at times.

Otherwise they are really 3, 3 brand new nets with permanent matting. Ah gone are the days where we have to pull the mats out!

Should be rules set about consistently hitting balls out of the net...

Dont think you'd get away too much at BL

We're toying with the idea of laying a couple of mats permanently, we'd have to do one first and see if it gets vandalised ...........or smoked. It's going to cost a few hundred for the special glue.

What are you on about PG. Your never there early to set the mats up. There is a lot of debris that gets removed before training. Once it hits about 6.15pm the darkness starts to creep in. It makes it hard when you have Jimmy and Kenty running in and bowling.
Let’s hope once we finally get into our new club rooms we can do something with the nets because they aren’t up to scratch. The nets are only about 6 ½ foot high.
