Interesting that a club having 2 teams in the same age group sought clarification from the ATCA office  regarding eligibility for junior finals at the start of the season only to have the advice given overridden by the governing board #-o on a parent complaint from the losing team

Embarrassing on all fronts, us and atca.
The lads played more div1 than 2 so ineligible unfortunately.
Stupid rule. They played the last 3 games in div2.

Not sure how it’s embarrassing on ATCA. Bylaws are clear on finals eligibility, play at least 50% in that grade.

Embarrassing that we sought clarification, and got it, in writing...twice. 50% rule was never mentioned.

Embarrassing by us as we should have looked up the relevant bylaw ourselves.

Interesting last round for Div 1
Still 5 teams in the hunt for the final 4. I personally see Scotch being too far back to make the 4. That said with a couple of upsets they can still make it.
I see the final 4 being exactly what it is now.
PAOC
Pooraka
Ingle Farm
Para Hills

Whats others thoughts?

games for the top 4 should be all wins so I don't really see it changing but you never know!

A2 is almost set now. games this week in the same boat as A1 just up to how big teams need to win to change the table

Yeah, top 6 play the bottom 6 this round so you'd expect them all to win.

Para Hills are just 59.33 runs ahead on bonus points, so Walkerville could make up the difference. That said, you'd expect Payneham to fold fairly easily so Para Hills should do enough to stay in front.

It might come down to who Payneham hate less. They could conceivably elect to bat their 40 overs for as few wickets as possible, rather than trying to score. If they only lose 5 or 6 wickets. Walkerville are right in the hunt to pinch 4th spot.

Hope Valley won't be doing the same, as they need points to stave off relegation.

Scotch no chance.
Don’t see either PAOC, Pooraka or Para Hills losing this week. Ingle Farm v SPOC could be an upset, but Walkerville would have to win really well.

Good points there Trader. Only Walkerville and Ingle Farm have posted decent totals at Payneham Oval this season. Traditionally a very hard ground to score runs on but always lots of wickets. I think we may need to turn live scoring off this weekend

Old Iggs cannot lose top spot in A3. after last years final week madness they would be happy with it. still think SHOC will be coming with them

I assume Para Hills declared 9 wickets down on Saturday to deny Walkerville the opportunity of picking up 0.3 for the last wicket. Could be critical come Saturday evening. I expect Para Hills and Walkerville to both win, but it's not inconceivable that Walkerville could make a lot more runs at Walkerville oval than Para Hills make at Payneham oval.

Gee, A2 is even tighter for minor premiership and auto promotion to A1. Trinity had the minor premiership sewn up, but have let Marion back in with their second innings capitulation. That will go down to the wire.
