PAOC's B grade team (in A3) have conceded 465 runs to Old Ignatians and 6/441 to Rostrevor over the last 2 Saturdays. Couple of long days in the field for those lads!!

I think the highest score i can find is this one:

http://atca.sa.cricket.com.au/showrvcontent.aspx?locx=MATCH&matchID=702292&loc=/cricket/reports/match.asp&loc1/match.asp

Just 72 overs as well

One blokes figures 13 overs for 119 runs!! and he bowled a maiden in there to!! Do you think maybe it was a batsmans paradise or the Unley attack just didn't bowl the right areas??

My grandson Paul Benz took 6 wickets in the Limited Overs Competition on the weekend. I love my grandson, but he hasn't got much talent. So thankyou to the batsman for not having a day out on his pies.

Relegation battles this round

A1 Goodwood or Pooraka
Goodwood will play a red hot Grange
Pooraka to play a luke warm Brighton at home. You would think they will stay up if they win

A2 Woody Rechs or Port Districts
Woody Rechs to play Old Scotch. Will Joel Southam play?
Port Districts to play FUCC Not sure they deserve to stay up, but they might if they beat FU

A3 Payneham or Kilburn - they play each other, so winner is almost certain to stay up

Can Pooraka can do enough to avoid relegation now, surely they would have to beat Brighton outright to garuantee A1 cricket next year??

Districts is the shambles at the moment, they wouldn't win an internal trial game let alone knock off FUCC's - Rechabites will be safe with the points gap they have already.

As for A3's i'm pretty sure i wouldn't be the only person who wouldn't be upset to see Kilburn slip another grade further down the grades... Cant believe these words would ever come out of my mouth but "Go The Dukes!!!"

I haven't worked out bonus points from last game, but I would think that Goodwood will have about 12 points on Pooraka. If Pooraka win on first innings and Goodwood lose, which is possible, it will end up very tight.

I think you have summed up A2 and A3 pretty well

yes, yes they were. we dropped the bloke from rocs on about 15 then again a bit later cant get the old "catches win matched" out of my head. happened the week before againsts iggies aswell. had both the 3 and 4 bat dropped on 10-20 and they both made 75 each. both games could have been won if any of those were held.

great game isnt it! : )

It is always difficult getting Footballers to respect the needs of cricket. Footballers can train on oval, but cricket has right of way during cricket season and centre wicket is no go zone. Always quite funny watching our curator tee off on Footballers who run through centre square.

I know some clubs do their pre-season training at an alternative venue until after cricket is finished - very sensible approach
