Council will lease the ground out to another club. Kilburn would then have to find a ground to play on..
With so much time, effort and money put into the square, there is no way the council will rip it up.

Kilburn Oval doesn't have a decent set of covers does it? Perhaps Prospect DCC could move there or at least borrow them so they can play games when some minor showers fall during the week ;) ;)

No covers at Kilburn... And they still played saturday

But the ground would be a perfect ground for a club in that comp...

I know their major committee man has busted his gut over the past 5 years. He committed himself to trying to develope their juniors by being involved on the NEJCA board as well as running the seniors. Shame on all that are involved at Kilburn that have not done the same. One person cant do it all. Hope you guys can find the right person to lead your club to brighter days and not reflect on past appointments that could cloud your judgement on a good future. All the best.

Yeah I know there was a lot of work down to get juniors up and running and it was great that the club got somethign started with the kids. Tough area to get cricket up and running but the teams provided a chance for a lot of kids newly arrived in Australia to take up the game and be part of a club. Shame to see it fall over.

Know for a fact that kilburn, gepps cross, Gaza, flinders park, woodville rechabites, regency park oval(flinders park c grade), lj Lewis oval don't have covers. Port district got some this year but not sure how often they out them on, I know they didn't on Friday when it rained all day

Clubs with covers in ATCA would be in the minority...
Ingle farm do not have them...
The ones that have them only use them when it suits to their advantage and why not...

I think para hills have them and we have them too, is hard though getting enough people up there to put them on correctly when they are needed

Doesnt look like ATCA games will get away tomorrow the way this rain is going!

What a frustrating season it must have been for people, so much rain this year! How many weeks/games will that be now thats been affected by the weather?
